<li>Not a reaction against my guilt</li>
|

<li>Not a desire to be happy</li>

<li>The motivation is positive
|
|

|
<li>I know what Christ has done for me</li>
|
|
<li>I know my new position</li>
|
|

|
<li>To undo the work of sin</li>
|
|
<li>To conform me to Christ</li>
|
|

|
|
<li>I know God's honor is involved in the matter of my behavior</li>

<li>Therefore, I do not allow sin to rule</li>

<li>If I allow sin to rule in my body it is a denial of everything I claim in Christ</li>

<li>The exhortation is possible for us to fulfill
|
|

<li>God is not saying this to a natural man</li>

<li>This is written to us who believe
|

<li>We are dead to Adam</li>

|
<li>We are alive to God
|
|

|
|
<li>We are not alone</li>
|
|
<li>We have adequate resources</li>
|
|

<li>We are to exercise resistance</li>
|
|

|
|
<li>This is addressed to our will</li>
|
|
