<p>How can creation be both very good and very bad? When God finished creating He said it was very good.</p>
|

<blockquote><p>God saw all that He had made, and it was very good. And there was evening, and there was morning—the sixth day (<a id="nbi732-si1" onClick="return mV('Gen',1,31);">Gen 1:31</a>).</p></blockquote>
|
|
<p>However, before the Flood, God saw His creation as very bad.</p>
|
|
<blockquote><p>Then the LORD saw that the wickedness of man was great on the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually (<a id="nbi732-si2" onClick="return mV('Gen',6,5);">Gen 6:5</a>).</p></blockquote>

<p>How can both be true?</p>
|
|
|
|
<p><b>Perspective of God</b></p>
|
|
<p>The answer lies in the perspective of the statements. Everything was originally created very good. However, this was before the Fall (<a id="nbi732-si3" onClick="return mV('Gen',3,'1-');">Gen 3</a>). After the Fall things began to degenerate to the place where God sent His judgment upon the earth by means of a Flood. In <a id="nbi732-si4" onClick="return mV('Gen',6,'1-');">Gen 6</a>, God is expressing His unhappiness of what sin has done to His perfect creation, a creation that was perfect in the beginning.</p>

<p>Therefore the simple answer to this problem lies in the perspective from which God made the statement.</p>
|
|
|
