<p>Not all the blood of beasts<br>
|
|
On Jewish altars slain<br>
|
|
Could give the guilty conscience peace<br>
|
|
Or wash away the stain.</p>

<p>But Christ, the heav’nly Lamb,<br>

Takes all our sins away;<br>

A sacrifice of nobler name<br>

And richer blood than they.</p>
