<p><em>Born:</em> November 21, 1844, St. Germains, Norfolk, England.</p>
|

<p>Daughter of Henry Cambridge, Ada married George Frederick Cross in 1869 (he took Holy Orders in 1870 as a curate in England; after various curacies in Australia, he became Incumbent of Coleraine, diocese of Ballarat, in 1877). Ada’s works include:</p>

<p>She also contributed to <em>Lays of the Pious Minstrels</em>, 1862; <em>English Lyrics</em>; and published a prose story, “The Two Surplices,” 1865, and tales in various magazines.</p>
