<h2>272. MADE IN CHRIST</h2>
|
|
<p>There are many things the believer is said to be "made" in Christ. Sin had <i>un</i>made us, but grace <i>re</i>makes us.</p>
|
|
<p>1. "<b>Made nigh.</b>" Nearness. "<i>Made</i> nigh by the blood of Christ" (<a id="fem272-si1" onclick="return mV('Eph',2,13);">Eph 2:13</a>).</p>
|
|
<p>2. "<b>Made righteous.</b>" Righteousness. "<i>Made</i> the righteousness of God in Him" (<a id="fem272-si2" onclick="return mV('2Cr',5,21);">2Cr 5:21</a>).</p>
|
|
<p>3. "<b>Made white.</b>" Purity or Holiness. "Washed their robes and <i>made</i> them white in the blood of the Lamb" (<a id="fem272-si3" onclick="return mV('Rev',7,14);">Rev 7:14</a>).</p>
|
|
<p>4. "<b>Made accepted.</b>" Favoured. "<i>Made</i> us accepted in the Beloved" (<a id="fem272-si4" onclick="return mV('Eph',1,6);">Eph 1:6</a>). The word "accepted" only occurs in one other place in the New Testament, and that is in <a id="fem272-si5" onclick="return mV('Luk',1,28);">Luke 1:28</a>, where it is rendered "<i>highly favoured</i>," or as the margin, "<i>graciously accepted, or much graced</i>."</p>

<p>5. "<b>Made meet.</b>" Sufficiency. "<i>Made</i> us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light" (<a id="fem272-si6" onclick="return mV('Col',1,12);">Col 1:12</a>). The term "<i>meet</i>" is rendered in <a id="fem272-si7" onclick="return mV('2Cr',3,6);">2Cr 3:6</a>, "<i>hath made able</i>," or sufficient.</p>

<p>6. "<b>Made heirs.</b>" Heirship. "Being justified by His grace, we should be <i>made</i> heirs" (<a id="fem272-si8" onclick="return mV('Tts',3,7);">Tts 3:7</a>).</p>
|
|
<p>7. "<b>Made kings and priests.</b>" Nobility. "<i>Made</i> us kings and priests unto God and His Father" (<a id="fem272-si9" onclick="return mV('Rev',1,6);">Rev 1:6</a>).</p>
