<div class="SSN_level2">A. Question arises from a double consciousness.</div>
<div class="SSN_level3">1. Greatness of God.</div>
<div class="SSN_level4">a. He removeth mountains. vs 5.</div>
<div class="SSN_level4">b. He shakes the earth. vs 6.</div>
<div class="SSN_level4">c. Commands the sun. vs 7.</div>
<div class="SSN_level4">d. He spread out the heavens. vs 5.</div>

<div class="SSN_rnum">II. NEITHER IS THERE ANY DAYSMAN BETWIXT US. vs 33.</div>
<div class="SSN_level2">A. There is an unspanable gap between.</div>
<div class="SSN_level3">1. The finite and the infinite.</div>
<div class="SSN_level3">2. The mortal man & the eternal God.</div>
<div class="SSN_level2">B. The distance between God & man too great.</div>
<div class="SSN_level3">1. It is not a physical distance.</div>
<div class="SSN_level4">a. "In Him we move and live and have our being."</div>
<div class="SSN_level4">b. Dan. to Belshazzer "The very God in whose hand thy breath is."</div>
<div class="SSN_level3">2. A moral distance.</div>
<div class="SSN_level4">a. Sinful man-righteous God.</div>
<div class="SSN_level4">b. Two men on same plain-miles apart.</div>
<div class="SSN_level3">3. A dimensional difference.</div>
<div class="SSN_level4">a. "God is a spirit & they that worship Him must worship Him in Spirit..."</div>
<div class="SSN_level4">b. I live on plane of intellect or phyche.</div>
<div class="SSN_level4">c. Zophar "Who by searching can find out God?"</div>
<div class="SSN_level4">d. Paul "The natural mind discerneth not the things of the spirit, neither can he know..."</div>
<div class="SSN_level5">1. Man's intellectual quest for God ends in agnosticism. The need of a daysman.</div>
<div class="SSN_level5">2. Problem is not on God's side. "God's hand is not short that He cannot save...</div>
<div class="SSN_level2">B. A bridge is needed to span the gap. "That He might lay His hand upon us both."</div>
<div class="SSN_level3">1. Someone who could understand human weakness and suffering lay His hand upon me and says, "I understand."</div>
<div class="SSN_level3">2. Yet someone who was absolutely pure and holy so He could lay His hand upon God.</div>
<div class="SSN_level3">3. God could not touch me without destroying me. I could not touch God without being destroyed.</div>
<div class="SSN_level3">4. My innermost being cries out for God, but I cannot reach Him</div>
<div class="SSN_level3">5. O how I need a daysman to stand in that eternal gap.</div>
<div class="SSN_rnum">III. "THERE IS ONE GOD, AND ONE MEDIATOR BETWEEN GOD AND MAN THE MAN CHRIST JESUS."</div>
<div class="SSN_level2">A. "In the beginning was the Word...and the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us & we..."</div>
<div class="SSN_level2">B. He, Christ Jesus stands in this gap low enough that I can reach Him, high enough that He can reach God.</div>
<div class="SSN_level3">1. He is God.</div>
<div class="SSN_level4">a. "And the Word was God."</div>
<div class="SSN_level4">b. "I and the Father are one."</div>
<div class="SSN_level4">c. He can lay His hand on the Father.</div>
<div class="SSN_level3">2. He became man.</div>
<div class="SSN_level4">a. And the Word became flesh.</div>
<div class="SSN_level4">b. And being in the form of God thought it not robbery to be equal with God...took upon Him the form of a servant and was made in the likeness of man.</div>
<div class="SSN_level2">C. So I can come to God through Christ Jesus my Lord.</div>
<div class="SSN_level3">1. Man attempting to build bridges to God. God has built a bridge.</div>
