<div class="SSN_intro">Intro: This is a part of God's response to those Jews who in the last days will say, "Come let us return to the Lord."</div>
|

<div class="SSN_rnum">I. THE REASON FOR THEIR CALAMITY vs. 13.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">A. Ploughed wickedness, reaped iniquity.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">1. Earlier accused of sowing to the wind.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">2. Whatsoever man soweth.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">a. This is a basic law in nature.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">b. It applies to our own lives as well as in Botony.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">c. If I sow to my flesh etc...</div>
|

<div class="SSN_level2">3. Israel had ploughed wickedness.</div>
|

<div class="SSN_level3">a. They had turned from the living God to idols.</div>
|

<div class="SSN_level3">b. They became fruitless. vs. 1.</div>

<div class="SSN_level4">1. God's purpose & intent that we bear fruit.</div>
|

<div class="SSN_level2">4. They were now reaping the natural inevitable results of their ploughing.</div>

<div class="SSN_rnum">II. GOD'S WORD TO A DESPERATE PEOPLE FILLED WITH INIQUITY.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">A. Sow to yourselves in righteousness.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">1. The same natural laws can work to your benefit.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">2. If you sow to the Spirit.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">3. Reap mercy.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">a. God is so merciful to us.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">B. Break up your fallow ground.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">1. This is a step of faith.</div>
|

<div class="SSN_level3">2. Preparing for God to work.</div>
|

<div class="SSN_level3">3. Certain dangerous passiveness.</div>

<div class="SSN_level4">a. "Well if God wants to, He can."</div>

<div class="SSN_level4">c. Preparation is a step of faith.</div>

<div class="SSN_level4">e. Once you have prepared yourself, have done all you could, then...</div>

<div class="SSN_rnum">III "IT IS TIME TO SEEK THE LORD."</div>

<div class="SSN_level2">A. The harvest is dependent now upon Him.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">1. I have broken the fallow ground & sown righteousness.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">2. Now I must depend upon Him for the rain.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">B. It is amazing, some of the things a man seeks to find the answers.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">1. Seek success.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">2. Seek pleasure.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">3. Seek Horoscope.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">4. Seek Education.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">5. All such seeking apart from God eventuates in emptiness.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">C. So now that you have sought these other things, don't you think its time you seek the Lord.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">D. How long are we to seek Him?</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">1. "Till He comes."</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">2. I have seen so many who if God doesn't respond within the first five minutes they're ready to seek something else.</div>
|

<div class="SSN_level2">E. The result of seeking the Lord "Till He come & rain righteousness upon us."</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">1. The glorious rain of God soaking us in joy.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">2. Showers of blessing & goodness, until there is a flood of love.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_notes">O Let us seek the Lord until He comes & rains righteousness upon us.</div>
|
|
