<div class="SSN_intro">Intro: In Psalms, God is declared to be slow to anger and plenteous in mercy. Eze.18 - God has no pleasure in death of wicked. Judgments as warnings & punishments.</div>
<div class="SSN_rnum">I. THE NEED FOR A MAN.</div>
<div class="SSN_level2">A. The nation had become polluted.</div>
<div class="SSN_level3">1. Serving false gods.</div>
<div class="SSN_level4">a. Intellect.</div>
<div class="SSN_level4">b. Pleasure.</div>
<div class="SSN_level4">c. Power.</div>
<div class="SSN_level3">2. Violence was increasing.</div>
<div class="SSN_level3">3. Their government officials had become corrupted.</div>
<div class="SSN_level3">4. Their ministers and priests condoned their evil practices.</div>
<div class="SSN_level2">B. The time had come for judgment.</div>
<div class="SSN_level3">1. For God to be righteous, He must judge.</div>
<div class="SSN_level4">a. When God does not judge, people begin to think He condones.</div>
<div class="SSN_level4">b. Next they think He approves.</div>
<div class="SSN_level4">c. Or they think He is dead.</div>
<div class="SSN_level4">d. All kinds of false and blasphemous ideas of God are formed.</div>
<div class="SSN_level2">C. Though He must judge, He still sought to save.</div>
<div class="SSN_level3">1. Oh the long-suffering and mercy of God.</div>
<div class="SSN_level3">2. He sought for a man.</div>
<div class="SSN_rnum">II. THE TASK FOR GOD'S MAN - "To make up the hedge, to stand in the gap."</div>
<div class="SSN_level2">A. Sin always separates from God.</div>
<div class="SSN_level3">1. It creates a gap.</div>
<div class="SSN_level3">2. God cannot deal directly with sin without death.</div>
<div class="SSN_level4">a. Even with His own Son.</div>
<div class="SSN_level3">3. God sought for men to be intercessors.</div>
<div class="SSN_level2">B. Man to turn people back to God.</div>
<div class="SSN_rnum">III. QUALIFICATIONS OF THAT MAN.</div>
<div class="SSN_level2">A. Must be walking in fellowship with God.</div>
<div class="SSN_level2">B. Must be separated from worldly practices.</div>
<div class="SSN_level2">C. Must be willing to be God's instrument.</div>
<div class="SSN_level2">D. He must be courageous.</div>
<div class="SSN_rnum">IV. THIS IS NOT ISOLATED EVENT IN HISTORY BUT A CONTINUING EXPERIENCE.</div>

<div class="SSN_level2">B. Today, God needs men.</div>

<div class="SSN_level3">b. Time for judgment has come.</div>
<div class="SSN_level3">c. God cannot withhold any longer.</div>
<div class="SSN_level3">d. Blasphemous concepts already coming forth.</div>
<div class="SSN_level2">C. God needs men of courage.</div>
<div class="SSN_level3">a. Apt to be subjected to mocking, scourging and death.</div>
<div class="SSN_level3">b. A righteous prophet never welcome in an evil world.</div>
<div class="SSN_rnum">V. THE TRAGIC RESULTS WHEN GOD CANNOT FIND MEN - "...BUT I FOUND NONE."</div>
