<div class="SSN_title">"HE SEES, HE HEARS, HE KNOWS."</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_intro">Intro. It has been said that the life of Moses can be divided into three equal segments. Forty years in the Pharaoh's court becoming somebody, forty years in the wilderness discovering that he is nobody, forty years finding out how God can take a nobody and make somebody out of him. Moses is coming to the end of the second stage of his life, his forty years watching sheep in the wilderness is coming to an end. One day he is fascinated by a burning bush, the unusual thing about this burning bush is that it keeps burning, yet it is not consumed. Moses went over to find out the mystery and as he approached the bush, He heard the voice of God speaking to him, telling him to remove his sandals for he was standing on holy ground. The Lord told Moses four things.</div>

<div class="SSN_rnum">I. I HAVE SURELY SEEN THE AFFLICTION OF MY PEOPLE.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">A. It was David who said in the psalm that we read this morning. "You have searched me and know me."</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">B. Jesus sought to make the disciples realize just how much their heavenly Father watched over them and cared for them.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">1. Your Father knows what you have need of before you ask Him.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">2. God knows even trivia about you, such as the number of hairs on your head.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">3. Jesus told his disciples not to make a big display over their giving, but to give in secret, and their Father that sees in secret would reward them openly.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">4. The same was so about prayer, "Pray to the Father that seeth in secret, and He shall reward you openly."</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">C. I think that Satan often seeks to deceive us by making us think that God doesn't see.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">1. The psalmist said:</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_verse"><a onClick="return mV('Psa',94,9);">PSA 94:9</a> He that planted the ear, shall he not hear? he that formed the eye, shall he not see?</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">2. We read this week that when Moses went out and saw an Egyptian mistreating a Hebrew slave, that he looked this way and that way, and when he didn't see any man, he killed the Egyptian. We often look this way and that way, but we don't look up.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">3. David thought that he had gotten by with his sin with Bathsheba that no man saw him. But God saw what he did.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">D. That God sees me can be of great comfort, or it can be of great concern, it all depends on me. If I am in great need, I am thankful that God sees me. If I am stepping out of line, I am terrified that God sees me.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">E. God's people were in great distress in Egypt, they were ordered to throw their baby boys into the river as the Pharaoh was seeking to weaken the nation. They had become the slaves to the Egyptians, and they were under a heavy whip.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">F. God saw their sorrow and distress.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">G. One of my grandsons when they got home from church asked his dad if God was watching him. His father replied, "Why do you ask me that question?" to which my grandson replied, "My teacher told me that God was watching me." " Why did your teacher tell you that God was watching you?" "Because I pulled the hair of the girl in front of me. But is that really true that God is watching me?" To which his father replied, "Yes, that is true. God is watching you because He loves you so much He cannot take His eyes off of you."</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_rnum">II. I HAVE HEARD THEIR CRY. GOD NOT ONLY SEES, BUT HE ALSO HEARS.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">A. Life had become intolerable. They were crying out to God because of their taskmasters.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">B. Slavery is a horrible thing. No person has a right to subjugate another person and seek to control their lives completely.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">1. Jesus told His disciples that the heathen loved to exercise lordship, but it shall not be so with you, whoever of you seeks to be the chief, let him become the servant of all.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">2. Paul declared that we are all equal in Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, bond or free, but Christ is all, and in all.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">3. When we stand before our Lord, we all stand on the same level.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">C. Have you ever cried unto the Lord and it seemed as though He did not hear you?</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_verse"><a onClick="return mV('Psa',4,1);">PSA 4:1</a> Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness: thou have opened your ear to me when I was in distress; have mercy upon me, and hear my prayer.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_verse"><a onClick="return mV('Psa',5,2);">PSA 5:2</a> Hearken unto the voice of my cry, my King, and my God: for unto thee will I pray.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_verse"><a onClick="return mV('Psa',27,7);">PSA 27:7</a> Hear, O LORD, [when] I cry with my voice: have mercy also upon me and answer me.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">D. The prophet Isaiah said, "God's ear is not heavy that He cannot hear, That is, God is not deaf, but your sins have separated you from your God.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">E. John said that we know that if we ask anything according to His will that He hears us, and if He hears us then we have the petition that we have desired of Him.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">F. It is a tremendously comforting thought to me that God hears me when I call unto Him.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">G. It is amazing to think that I can actually talk to God.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">H. We sing, "He knows my name, He knows my every thought, He sees each tear that falls, and He hears me when I call.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_rnum">III. "I KNOW THEIR SORROWS." GOD UNDERSTANDS YOUR SORROWS. HE SEES THE FALLING TEAR, AND WHISPERS, "I AM WITH THEE, SO SORROW NOT NOR FEAR."</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">A. God sees your broken heart.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">B. God knows all about those things that disturb you today.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">C. God knows the weariness that you feel.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">D. God knows your fear of the future.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">E. There is not a single thing that God does not know about you.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">F. There is something about tears that touches our hearts.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">1. If we see even a stranger crying, we somehow want to comfort them.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">2. That desire to reach out and comfort someone who is crying comes from God.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">3. Just as someone's tears touch your heart, your tears touch the heart of God.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_rnum">IV. "AND I HAVE COME DOWN TO DELIVER THEM."</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">A. It is nice when people say, I have been watching the sorrow that you have been going through, and I know all of the pressures that you are facing. It is good to know that someone sees.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">B. When people say, "Just call me any time, and I will hear you out." It is nice to know that someone will listen to me.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">C. It helps when someone says, "I know the great sorrow that you are going through."</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">D. But there is nothing like someone saying, "I have come to help you."</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">E. God does not just have simple understanding of your needs, He desires to deliver you from your distress.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">F. The Hebrews had come under horrible bondage to the Egyptians.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">1. They were demanded to do more than what was possible for them to do, then beaten for not doing it.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">2. There seemed to be no escape from their horrible fate.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">3. The Egyptians had complete control over them and there was no human way that things could ever be changed.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">4. They would go to sleep at night bone weary because of their arduous labor. They would cry because of the injustices they were exposed to. But they seemed to be in a hopeless situation for they could not see any possibility of anything ever changing.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">G. God is saying, "I have come to deliver you."</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">H. God wants to deliver you today from the misery and suffering that you have been going through.</div>
|
|
</div>
|
|
</div>
|
