<div class="SSN_intro">Intro: "We have now arrived at the end of the glory of the nations of Judah."</div>
<div class="SSN_rnum">I. LESSONS TO BE LEARNED FROM HISTORY.</div>
<div class="SSN_level2">A. "And as long as he sought the LORD, He made His ways to prosper."</div>
<div class="SSN_level3">1. Spiritual laws govern this universe as well as natural laws.</div>
<div class="SSN_level3">2. "Seek first the Kingdom of God & His..."</div>
<div class="SSN_level3">3. We see this law illustrated and proved all through the history of Israel.</div>
<div class="SSN_level4">a. At the time of the judges.</div>
<div class="SSN_level4">b. On through the kings.</div>
<div class="SSN_level3">4. They had gone from a theocracy to a monarchy, to captivity.</div>
<div class="SSN_level4">a. In their birth as one nation under God they were endowed with a sense of destiny.</div>
<div class="SSN_level5">1. God had intended that they should be a light to the world.</div>
<div class="SSN_level5">2. I believe our nation was also raised up by God to be a light to the world.</div>
<div class="SSN_level2">B. "If you forsake God, He will forsake you."</div>
<div class="SSN_level3">1. This should not be difficult to understand.</div>
<div class="SSN_level3">2. "God forsaken place."</div>
<div class="SSN_level4">a. Horrible desolation and terror.</div>
<div class="SSN_level3">3. God forsakes people.</div>
<div class="SSN_rnum">II. GOD'S COMPASSION FOR THEM.</div>
<div class="SSN_level2">A. Demonstrated in His efforts to turn them back from evil to Him.</div>
<div class="SSN_level3">1. Evil always corrupts and destroys.</div>
<div class="SSN_level3">2. The corrupting force of evil in our society today.</div>
<div class="SSN_level2">B. Demonstrated in His great patience.</div>
<div class="SSN_level3">1. He did not immediately destroy.</div>
<div class="SSN_level3">2. He gave them several opportunities to turn back to Him.</div>
<div class="SSN_level3">3. He sent all kinds of warnings.</div>
<div class="SSN_level3">4. But they despised the Word of God.</div>
<div class="SSN_level3">5. They mocked His prophets.</div>
<div class="SSN_level3">6. They loved the soothing words of the false prophets.</div>
<div class="SSN_rnum">III. NO REMEDY.</div>
<div class="SSN_level2">A. All of God's remedial efforts had failed.</div>
<div class="SSN_level3">1. The people had turned against Him more and more.</div>
<div class="SSN_level3">2. With great reluctance He releases them to their own destructions.</div>
<div class="SSN_level3">3. We speak of God sending judgments in a sense this is true.</div>
<div class="SSN_level4">a. All He has to do is remove His hand of protection and judgment ensues.</div>
<div class="SSN_level4">b. Just let man go his own path.</div>
<div class="SSN_level4">c. God protects us from judgment.</div>
<div class="SSN_level4">d. When He no longer protects judgment comes.</div>
<div class="SSN_level4">e. God has been protecting our nation, How long will He allow our representative leaders to enact laws that defy His laws?</div>
<div class="SSN_level2">B. What a hopeless state when Dr. declares "No remedy."</div>
<div class="SSN_level3">1. The patient must die. No cure.</div>
<div class="SSN_level3">2. How much more so when God declares "No remedy."</div>
<div class="SSN_level4">a. For a nation.</div>
<div class="SSN_level4">b. For an individual.</div>
