<h2>89. CHRISTIAN WORK</h2>
|
|
<p>This has reference to what we do and are for Christ. The quality of our works is to be good.</p>
|
|
<p>1. <b>Christ</b> is our Example. "I have finished the <i>work</i>" (<a id="fem89-si1" onclick="return mV('Jhn',17,4);">Jhn 17:4</a>).</p>
|
|
<p>2. <b>Faith</b> is the principle. "If ye were Abraham's children, ye would do the <i>works</i> of Abraham" (<a id="fem89-si2" onclick="return mV('Jhn',8,39);">Jhn 8:39</a>).</p>
|
|
<p>3. <b>Love</b> is the motive. "She hath wrought a good <i>work</i>" (<a id="fem89-si3" onclick="return mV('Mat',26,10);">Mat 26:10</a>).</p>
|
|
<p>4. <b>Word</b> of God is our authority. "Let your light so shine…see your good <i>works</i>" (<a id="fem89-si4" onclick="return mV('Mat',5,16);">Mat 5:16</a>).</p>
|
|
<p>5. <b>Holy</b> Spirit is our power. "Created in Christ Jesus unto good <i>works</i>" (<a id="fem89-si5" onclick="return mV('Eph',2,10);">Eph 2:10</a>).</p>
|
|
<p>6. <b>Good</b> is their character. Dorcas—"Full of good <i>works</i>" (<a id="fem89-si6" onclick="return mV('Act',9,36);">Act 9:36</a>).</p>

<p>7. <b>Evidence</b> of faith in Christ. Rahab—"Justified by <i>works</i>" (<a id="fem89-si7" onclick="return mV('Jam',2,25);">Jam 2:25</a>).</p>

<p>8. <b>Tested</b> at the judgment seat. "The fire shall try every man's <i>work</i>" (<a id="fem89-si8" onclick="return mV('1Cr',3,13);">1Cr 3:13</a>).</p>
