<h2>389. TAKE HEED</h2>
|
|
<p>A heedless person is thoughtless, but a heeding person is wide-awake.</p>
|
|
<p>The following seven "take heeds" show how the Christian should ever be on the alert:—</p>
|
|
<p>1. <b>Hearing.</b> "<i>Take heed</i> what ye hear" (<a id="fem389-si1" onclick="return mV('Mar',4,24);">Mar 4:24</a>; <a id="fem389-si2" onclick="return mV('Luk',8,18);">Luk 8:18</a>).</p>
|
|
<p>2. <b>Watching.</b> "<i>Take ye heed</i>, watch and pray" (<a id="fem389-si3" onclick="return mV('Mar',13,33);">Mar 13:33</a>).</p>
|
|
<p>3. <b>Working.</b> "<i>Take heed</i> how he buildeth" (<a id="fem389-si4" onclick="return mV('1Cr',3,10);">1Cr 3:10</a>).</p>
|
|
<p>4. <b>Heart.</b> "<i>Take heed</i>, brethren, lest there…an evil heart of unbelief" (<a id="fem389-si5" onclick="return mV('Hbr',3,12);">Hbr 3:12</a>).</p>
|
|
<p>5. <b>Standing.</b> "<i>Take heed</i> lest he fall" (<a id="fem389-si6" onclick="return mV('1Cr',10,12);">1Cr 10:12</a>).</p>

<p>6. <b>Covetousness.</b> "<i>Take heed</i> and beware of covetousness" (<a id="fem389-si7" onclick="return mV('Luk',12,15);">Luk 12:15</a>).</p>
