<div class="SSN_intro">Intro: The story of man has been a sad tragedy of failure. As we look at the world today, we see how man has failed to learn any lessons from history. Lust and pride still create wars.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_rnum">I. THE BIBLE POINTS US TO A BETTER DAY.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">A. Zechariah, beginning here in chapter 12 and continuing to 14, points to the light at the end of the tunnel.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">1. A better day is coming.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">a. The Lord is coming to reign as king over the whole earth.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">b. God's mercy and grace will be poured out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">c. There shall be annual tours to Jerusalem to celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles, and worship the Lord.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_rnum">II. GOD'S SPECIAL PROMISES TO HOUSE OF DAVID.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">A. Pour out His Spirit of grace and supplication.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">1. The Jewish people have been an oppressed people.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">a. History is filled with atrocities directed at them</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">b. God had warned them that these things would happen to them if they rejected Him.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">2. The day is coming when things are going to change for them.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">B. "They shall look on Me whom they have pierced."</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">1. In <a onClick="return mV('Psa',22,16);">Psalm 22</a> it was predicted, "They pierced My hands and My feet."</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">2. Their looking is in acceptance and recognition.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">a. The veil that has been over their eyes will be lifted.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">b. They will recognize the mistake they made.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">c. They will receive Jesus as their Messiah.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">3. Their looking will bring repentance.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">a. "They shall mourn for Him."</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">b. As one would mourn for a firstborn son that was killed.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">C. "The Lord will open to them a fountain for sin and uncleanness."</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">1. Their recognition, repentance and receiving of Jesus as their Messiah will usher in a new age.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_rnum">III. SALVATION.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">A. It comes as a work of God's Spirit.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">B. It comes by looking to Jesus.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">C. It comes by repentance.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">D. It comes by making Him the king of your life.</div>
|
|
</div>
