<div class="SSN_level2">A. Sense of an unfulfilled purpose.</div>

<div class="SSN_level3">1. The desire to be or to have.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">2. "There must be more to life than just this."</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">B. The reason behind man's drive.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">1. It creates the alcoholic.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">2. It is the reason behind the sharp increase in drugs.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">3. It causes some to possess drive for money.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">4. Answer behind the pleasure mania here in U.S.</div>

<div class="SSN_level2">C. We note how unfulfilling are man's pursuits.</div>

<div class="SSN_level3">1. Rather than slacking his thirst, it only increases it.</div>

<div class="SSN_level4">a. Man who is an alcoholic may have begun with just that relaxer.</div>

<div class="SSN_level4">b. Those who use drugs need progressively larger doses.</div>
|

<div class="SSN_level3">2. Solomon; man of wide pursuits.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">a. Education.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">b. Wealth.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">c. Pleasure.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">d. Building monuments. "Vanity, vanity, all is vanity and vexation of spirit."</div>
|

<div class="SSN_rnum">II. THE ONLY ANSWER FOR THAT IS "THE WATER OF LIFE."</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">A. Man's sense of unfulfilled purpose correct.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">1. Tell me not in mournful numbers.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">2. We were created for higher things.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">a. The man who spends his life amongst the material and money is truly missing out.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">b. God has created us for fellowship with Him.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">1. Garden of Eden.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">2. "That which we have seen and heard declare we..."</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">B. Jesus claimed to be the answer to man's need.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">1. I am the bread of life.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">2. I am the light of the world.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">3. I am the door to the sheepfold.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">4. I am the resurrection and the life.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">5. I am the way, the truth, and the life.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">6. "But whoso drinketh of the water that I give, shall never thirst again".</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">C. The gospel, the good news, there is more to life, it is Jesus Christ.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">1. There is an answer to the thirst; "If any man thirst let him come to me."</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">2. Jesus claimed to be the answer.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">a. Some have disputed that claim.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level5">1. You see them all about you. Tongues hanging out they go panting around after this or that.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level5">2. You read about them in your papers.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level5">3. They live in hope, but eventually they die in despair, never really ever knowing what it is to live.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">b. It's not easy to dispute Christ's claims.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">1. You can't disprove them.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">2. You must rationalize for the hundreds here this morning who have drunk and will testify that it is true they are now satisfied.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">a. The millions throughout the world.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_rnum">III. THE AVAILABILITY OF THE WATER OF LIFE.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">A. "Whosoever will."</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">1. What about the poor heathen who has never heard?</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">a. I'm not concerned now about him. God will take care of him.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">b. I am concerned about the poor thirsty heathen who have heard, but who still have not drunk.</div>
|
|
</div>
