<div class="SSN_level2">B. Worse yet should they lose their health.</div>

<div class="SSN_level2">C. Tragic to lose your reputation.</div>
|

<div class="SSN_level2">D. Sad to lose your loved ones.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">E. Greatest loss is that of your own soul.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">1. Rather go through life a beggar.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">2. Rather go through life an invalid.</div>

<div class="SSN_rnum">II. WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE LOST?</div>
|

<div class="SSN_level2">A. Your spirit is dead, insensate.</div>
|

<div class="SSN_level3">1. Unconscious of God, His love, presence.</div>
|

<div class="SSN_level3">2. Separated from the life of God.</div>
|

<div class="SSN_level4">a. Living without hope.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">3. Living on animal plane.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">a. You have a body and consciousness governed by your body needs.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">B. It means the horizons of your life very narrow.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">1. Life is measured by birth to death.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">2. Your will and pleasure have top priority.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">a. This becomes your standard of measurement for your activities.</div>

<div class="SSN_rnum">III. WHEN IS A PERSON LOST?</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">A. In life.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">1. A loss to your family.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">2. A loss to your community.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">B. In death.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">1. You have chosen a life separated from God and He shall now honor your choice.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">2. You have chosen not to submit to His Lordship, so entrance to His Kingdom is forbidden to you.</div>
|

<div class="SSN_rnum">IV. WHY IS A PERSON LOST?</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">A. Because of sin.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">1. "We were born in sin" sinful nature.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">2. We have lived in sin, disobedient to the will of God.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">a. Paul describes our condition in <a onClick="return mV('Rom',1,29);">Romans 1:29</a>-3l.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">b. These are the people Jesus came to seek.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">c. These are the ones He seeks to save.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_rnum">V. WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO SAVE?</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">A. Saved from the guilt of your sins.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">1. Your sins are forgiven.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">2. Your guilt is put away.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">3. "O how happy is the man whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered."</div>
|

<div class="SSN_level2">B. Saved from the power of sin.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">1. People do not always sin because they want to.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">a. Many hate what they are doing.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">b. Hate themselves for doing it.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">2. We find ourselves subject unto bondage.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_rnum">VI. HOW DOES HE SAVE US?</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">A. By taking upon Himself our sin and guilt.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">1. He accepted the responsibility for the things you did.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">2. "All we like sheep...."</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">B. By dying in our place.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">C. By giving us a new nature, His.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_rnum">VII. HOW IS A PERSON SAVED?</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">A. By believing in the Lord Jesus Christ.</div>
|
|
