<p>Like the good angels, evil angels are also organized. The Apostle Paul said that the Christian is battling a highly organized enemy in the spirit world.
|
|
<blockquote><p>For our struggle is not against enemies of blood and flesh, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers of this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places (<a id="nbi45-si1" onClick="return mV('Eph',6,12);">Eph 6:12</a>).</blockquote>

|
|
<p><b>Organized Enemy</b>
|
|
<p>This speaks of an organized enemy. They are broken down into the categories of rulers, authorities, cosmic powers, and spiritual forces. All of this implies organization.
|
|
|
|
<p><b>Rulers and Other Ranks</b>
|
|
<p>The "rulers" spoken of here are those of the highest rank. Obviously if there are rulers, there must those who are ruled over. The "authorities" would be a separate category from the rulers.
|
|
<p>Peter wrote about the organization of angels.
|
|
<blockquote><p>Who has gone into heaven and is at the right hand of God, angels, authorities, and powers having been made subject to Him (<a id="nbi45-si2" onClick="return mV('1Pe',3,22);">1Pe 3:22</a>).</blockquote>
|
|
<p>The powers and authorities, spoken of here, also refers to different ranks and classifications of evil angelic creatures.
|
|
<p>Paul wrote of them.
|
|
<blockquote><p>For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord (<a id="nbi45-si3" onClick="return mV('Rom',8,38,39);">Rom 8:38-39</a>).</p></blockquote>

<p>In another place, the Apostle Paul wrote about the ruling angels.
|
|
<blockquote><p>in order that the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known through the church to the rulers and the authorities in the heavenly places (<a id="nbi45-si4" onClick="return mV('Eph',3,10);">Eph 3:10</a>).</p></blockquote>
|
|
<p>These rulers and authorities could be either good or bad angels. Either way, it speaks of an organized group of angels.
|
|
|
|
<p><b>Christ Has Defeated Them</b>
|
|
<p>Paul wrote to the Colossians that Christ had defeated these spiritual authorities.
|
|
<blockquote><p>He disarmed the rulers and authorities and made a public example of them, triumphing over them in it (<a id="nbi45-si5" onClick="return mV('Col',2,15);">Col 2:15</a>).</p></blockquote>
|
|
|
|
<p><b>Fight with Michael</b>
|
|
<p>Satan, and his evil angels, will eventually fight with Michael the archangel and his good angels.
|
|
<blockquote><p>And war broke out in heaven; Michael and his angels fought against the dragon. The dragon and his angels fought back (<a id="nbi45-si6" onClick="return mV('Rev',12,7);">Rev 12:7</a>).</p></blockquote>
|
|
|
|
<p><b>Implies Organization</b>
|
|
<p>The fact that the dragon, or Satan, has his own angels implies organization. He is the leader of this vast array of evil angels.
|
|
|
|
<p><b>Summary</b>
|
|
<p>There are highly organized ranks of evil angels according to the Bible. They are not merely a disorganized group of terrorizing angels, but rather a well organized evil army who fight under the leadership of Satan.<br>
