<div class="SSN_intro">Intro: Eliphaz has just exhorted Job to acquaint himself with God and be at peace, and good would come to him.</div>

<div class="SSN_rnum">I. JOB'S EFFORT TO FIND GOD "OH THAT I KNEW WHERE I MIGHT FIND HIM."</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">A. It's amazing how far away God sometimes seems.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">1. Usually when we are going through a trial.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">2. It seems as though our prayers are not heard.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">3. We search so hard for guidance.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">B. Job desired to come to His throne to plead his case.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">1. He knew he would there find strength.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">2. He would receive deliverance.</div>
|

<div class="SSN_level3">3. If he could only somehow touch God's throne.</div>

<div class="SSN_level2">C. Job's search for God.</div>

<div class="SSN_level3">1. Vs. 8 Forward & backward.</div>

<div class="SSN_level3">2. Vs. 9 On the left and right.</div>

<div class="SSN_level3">3. He could see God working yet he could not fully discover Him.</div>

<div class="SSN_level4">a. Some say they find God in nature.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">b. Nature testifies of the existance of God.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">c. Nature's testimony is incomplete.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level5">1. God speaks to me in the breeze He is gentle, cool, refreshing.</div>

<div class="SSN_level5">2. What if you get caught in a tornado? He is wild, fierce, destructive.</div>

<div class="SSN_rnum">II. JESUS SAID, HE THAT HATH SEEN ME...PHILIP HATH SEEN THE FATHER, THE WORDS AND THE WORKS ARE GOD'S.</div>
|

<div class="SSN_level2">A. What had Philip seen?</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">1. Jesus found Philip and said "follow me."</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">2. When the multitude had been following Jesus and were now physically weak, He said to Philip, where can we buy bread to feed them?</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">3. There were certain Greeks who came to Philip seeking Jesus,when Philip told Him, he heard Him say "the hour is now come for the Son of Man to be glorified. Except a corn of wheat fall in the..."</div>
|

<div class="SSN_level3">4. And then he was there when Jesus took a towel and began to wash His disciples' feet.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">B. What had Philip seen of God?</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">1. He saw God seeking the lost and bringing them to a new life. "He that hath..."</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">2. He saw God's concern for the physical needs and His miraculous supply. "He that..."</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">3. He saw the suffering and agony of God for a lost world, His willingness to give all in order to save. "He that hath..."</div>

<div class="SSN_level3">4. He saw God stooping down to serve man, desiring to minister to man's needs "He that hath..."</div>
|

<div class="SSN_rnum">III. TO YOU TODAY WHO ARE SEEKING TO FIND GOD.</div>
