<div class="SSN_rnum">I. WHAT DOES JOHN TELL US OF THE WORD?</div>

<div class="SSN_level2">A. He existed in the beginning.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">1. In the beginning God, Elohim.</div>
|

<div class="SSN_level3">2. "That which was from beginning."</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">B. He was with God.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">1. Co-existant with the Father.</div>
|

<div class="SSN_level3">2. Co-equal with the Father. <a onClick="return mV('Phl',2,6);">Phil. 2:6</a> "Who being in the Form of God."</div>

|

<div class="SSN_level3">1. "All things were made by Him."</div>

<div class="SSN_rnum">II. "THE WORD WAS MADE FLESH AND DWELT AMONG US."</div>
|

<div class="SSN_level2">A. This is one of the great mysteries of God.</div>

<div class="SSN_level3">1. <a onClick="return mV('1Ti',3,16);">1 Tim. 3:16</a>: "God was manifested in the flesh."</div>

<div class="SSN_level4">a. "He that hath seen Me hath seen the Father."</div>

<div class="SSN_level4">b. Source of constant awe. <a onClick="return mV('1Jo',1,1);">I John 1:1</a>, heard, seen, looked upon, handled.</div>

<div class="SSN_level3">1. On Mount of transfiguration.</div>

<div class="SSN_level2">D. Why was God manifested in the flesh?</div>

<div class="SSN_level3">1. So He could understand our limitations.</div>

<div class="SSN_level4">a. He thirst, He hungered, He was tired, He wept, He died.</div>
|

<div class="SSN_level4">b. To understand, so as to better help.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">C. <a onClick="return mV('Hbr',4,15);">Heb. 4:15</a>: "For we have not a High Priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities..."</div>

<div class="SSN_level3">2. So that we might have a clearer revelation of God.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">a. "God who at sundry times and in divers..."</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">b. Man had imagined God as always angry and ready to condemn.</div>
|

<div class="SSN_level3">3. To make the way of salvation.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">a. To take our sins and die in our place.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">4. To place God within reach.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">a. Which we have handled.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">b. So man can touch God.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_rnum">III. THIS SAME JESUS IS COMING AGAIN IN THE FLESH.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">A. This despite what the Jehovah Witnesses say.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">1. In their handbook "Make sure of all things" page 430. Return of Christ, "Christ gave fleshly body for mankind, not to take it back by returning in flesh."</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">2. Yet in the Stephen Byington translation that they sell, 11 <a onClick="return mV('Jhn',7,1);">John 7</a> reads "For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is coming in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an anti-Christ".</div>
