<div class="SSN_level4">a. "Foolishness of world bound up in heart of a child."</div>

<div class="SSN_level2">B. I was a sinner by choice.</div>

<div class="SSN_level3">1. Back in the olden days - listened to Red Skelton on radio, "If I dood it I get a whipping."</div>

<div class="SSN_level2">C. I needed saving from myself.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">1. My goals were all self oriented.</div>

<div class="SSN_level4">a. I desired to be a doctor - why?</div>
|

<div class="SSN_level3">2. My life drifting aimlessly on sea of life.</div>

|
<div class="SSN_level4">a. Jesus gave me direction - purpose.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">D. I needed saving from my fate.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">1. I had chosen the path of death.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">a. It didn't appear to be.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">b. There is a way that seems right unto man.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_rnum">II. "GOD" IS MY SALVATION.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">A. I could not save myself.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">1. I watch people struggle today to be good.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">2. They become the biggest hypocrites and liars.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">a. They put on a big act.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">b. They start justifying every crooked thing they do.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">3. I could reform myself.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">B. People look to different saviors.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">1. Drugs are my salvation.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">2. Beer is my salvation.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">3. My wife is my salvation.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">4. The church is my salvation.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_rnum">III. HOW DID GOD PROVIDE MY SALVATION?</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">A. He sent His Son to this earth - "Jesus: for He shall save His people from their sins."</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">1. Jesus took upon Himself all my sins, those things that were destroying me.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">2. He accepted the responsibility and guilt for my evil, and died in my place.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">a. "For God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself."</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">b. Jesus was not trying to persuade the Father to love me, just proving.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">B. He raised His Son from the dead and received Him back to glory.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">1. He now imparts to me the power of His risen life.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_rnum">IV. BECAUSE GOD IS MY SALVATION.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">A. I will trust Him.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">1. No longer trust in myself.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">a. "The heart is deceitful."</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">b. "I know that in me i.e. in my flesh..."</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">2. No longer trust my works.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">a. Our righteousness as filthy rags.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">3. He is trustworthy and shall not fail.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">B. I will not be afraid.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">1. One of Satan's tools is fear.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">2. If I am trusting I cannot fear.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">3. If I fear, I am not trusting.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">C. With joy will I draw water out of-the wells of salvation.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">1. Difference between well and cistern.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">2. The joy is because of the assurance.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_divider">Say "Praise the Lord."</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">a. The assurance is because God is my salvation.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level5">1. My efforts—my church—my friends may fail. No assurance– NO JOY.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_divider">Last Invitation.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">3. If any man thirst let him come...</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">4. And whosoever will, let him come and take of the water of life freely.</div>
