<div class="SSN_rnum">I. "UNTO US A CHILD IS BORN" LOOKING AT THE EVENT FROM THE HUMAN SIDE.</div>
<div class="SSN_level2">A. Unlike any other child ever born.</div>
<div class="SSN_level3">1. He had no human father, His mother was a virgin.</div>
<div class="SSN_level4">a. "For behold a virgin shall conceive and bear a Son..."</div>
<div class="SSN_level4">b. Fulfilled promise made in garden of Eden, "The seed of the woman that was to bruise the serpent's head."</div>
<div class="SSN_level3">2. His birth was heralded by angels.</div>
<div class="SSN_level4">"For unto you is born this day..."</div>
<div class="SSN_level2">B. The Child is destined for greatness.</div>
<div class="SSN_level3">"And the government shall be upon His..."</div>
<div class="SSN_level2">C. The Child is destined for suffering.</div>
<div class="SSN_level3">1. "Despised, rejected, man of sorrows, acquainted with grief."</div>
<div class="SSN_level3">2. "He was wounded for our transgressions..."</div>

<div class="SSN_level3">1. This Child is coming again as King of Kings.</div>

<div class="SSN_rnum">II. "UNTO US A SON IS GIVEN" LOOKING AT IT FROM THE DIVINE SIDE."</div>

<div class="SSN_level2">B. The purpose of the gift.</div>
<div class="SSN_level3">1. To reveal to man the truth about God.</div>
<div class="SSN_level4">a. Man's concepts had become so twisted - Greek & Roman mythology.</div>
<div class="SSN_level4">b. Even in Israel those who established themselves as teachers (scribes) came in for sharpest criticism by Christ.</div>
<div class="SSN_level3">2. To bring man back into fellowship with God.</div>
<div class="SSN_level4">a. Sin was the separating factor. <a onClick="return mV('Isa',59,1);">Isa. 59:1</a>.</div>
<div class="SSN_level5">1. "God made Him to be sin for us..."</div>
<div class="SSN_level5">2. Christ died for the sins of the world.</div>
<div class="SSN_level5">3. "All we like sheep have gone..."</div>
<div class="SSN_level4">b. Man was created for fellowship. Original purpose in creation.</div>
<div class="SSN_level5">1. "And if we walk in the light as He is in the light..."</div>
<div class="SSN_level3">3. "A Son is given - to be the Savior of the world."</div>
<div class="SSN_level4">a. The world was lost and without hope.</div>
<div class="SSN_level4">b. A light shining in the darkness.</div>
<div class="SSN_rnum">III. THE WORLD'S REACTION TO GOD'S GIFT.</div>
<div class="SSN_level2">A. Some rejected, "We will not have this Man to rule over us."</div>
<div class="SSN_level3">1. Rejected God's rule over their lives.</div>
<div class="SSN_level3">2. They crucified Him.</div>
<div class="SSN_level2">B. Others gladly received Him, submitted their lives to Him.</div>
<div class="SSN_level3">1. "He was in the world, and the world was made by Him!"</div>
<div class="SSN_level2">C. Today man has not changed.</div>
<div class="SSN_level3">1. Some reject.</div>
<div class="SSN_level3">2. Some receive.</div>
