<div class="SSN_intro">Uzziah began to reign when just 16 years old, Reigned 52 yrs. Popular, powerful, 1st cousin of Isaiah. Chaotic times, northern kingdom is falling.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_rnum">I. GOD WANTS US TO GET OUR EYES UPON HIM.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">A. Many times things block our vision of God.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">1. We feel secure in our job.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">We feel secure in our home.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">We feel secure in our leader.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">2. We know God, we love Him, we trust Him.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">a. Yet we are not really depending on Him.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">3. Many times God removes our props.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">a. We become ill.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">b. We lose our job.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">c. Our leader dies.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">4. Chaos ensues.</div>
|

<div class="SSN_level4">a. What are we going to do now?</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">b. How will we survive?</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">5. The throne is empty.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">a. Uzziah had held things together.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">b. What will happen to us now?</div>
|

<div class="SSN_level4">c. Ephraim and Syria are threatening to invade.</div>

<div class="SSN_level2">B. Isaiah looked to God and received a vision of God.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">1. He was sitting on the throne.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">a. The throne is not empty.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">b. God has things in control.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">2. Oh that we could look beyond our circumstances today.</div>
|

<div class="SSN_level4">a. We need to catch a vision of God enthroned.</div>
|

<div class="SSN_rnum">II. THE EFFECT OF THE VISION ON ISAIAH, "WOE IS ME."</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">A. Seeing himself in God's light, he saw his sinful state.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">1. There were the angels veiling their fans from His glory, crying Holy, Holy, Holy.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">2. "I am a man of unclean lips."</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">a. Unclean lips bedspread an unclean heart, "out of the abundance of the heart..."</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">B. This is always the result of seeing God.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">1. When I see God I see myself in the true Light.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">2. The man who is proud has not yet had a vision of God.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">3. I feel so totally unworthy, to ask for help or anything.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">C. Seeing God only in His absolute holiness and awesome power will drive you away.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_rnum">III. HE SAW ALSO IN HIS LOVE AND GRACE.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">A. A Seraphim dispatched from the throne of God, brought a live coal from the altar before the throne.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">1. He touched the lips of Isaiah with it.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">2. He proclaimed, "thy iniquity is taken away, thy sin is purged."</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">a. The first thing God does is to remove that which would hold you away from Him.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">3. I see God and feel drawn to Him, but then I see my own guilt and feel shut out.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_rnum">IV. HE FINALLY HEARD THE CALL FOR SERVICE. "WHO WILL GO FOR US."</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">A. God has a purpose and a plan for this poor world.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">1. He has elected to use human instruments.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">2. The human instruments must also elect to be used.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">"Here am I, send me."</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">The vision cursed him the fire cleansed him and he now places</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">himself at God's disposal.</div>
|
|
</div>
