<h2>309. POWER OF DARKNESS</h2>
|
|
<p>Darkness represents that which is evil, hence men love darkness, &c. There is the darkness of ignorance, the darkness of misery, and the darkness of sin.</p>
|
|
<p>1. <b>Subtle power.</b> "Now the serpent was more subtle than any beast" (<a id="fem309-si1" onclick="return mV('Gen',3,1);">Gen 3:1</a>).</p>
|
|
<p>2. <b>Blighting power.</b> "Behold all that he hath is in thy power" (<a id="fem309-si2" onclick="return mV('Job',1,12);">Job 1:12</a>). "Satan smote Job with sore boils" (<a id="fem309-si3" onclick="return mV('Job',2,7);">Job 2:7</a>).</p>
