<div class="SSN_title">"FOUNTAINS OF LIVING WATER."</div>
<div class="SSN_intro">John is here describing some of the blessings of the heavenly state.</div>
<div class="SSN_rnum">I. "THEY SHALL HUNGER NO MORE, NEITHER THIRST."</div>
<div class="SSN_level2">A. Imagine never being hungry again.</div>
<div class="SSN_level3">1. Here our lives seem to be a constant appetite.</div>
<div class="SSN_level4">a. We have our body appetites; food, water.</div>
<div class="SSN_level4">b. We have our emotional appetites; love, security.</div>
<div class="SSN_level4">c. We have our spiritual appetites; purpose, reality.</div>
<div class="SSN_level3">2. Our lives consist of trying to satisfy our appetites.</div>
<div class="SSN_level4">a. All of our labor so we can satisfy our hunger.</div>
<div class="SSN_level4">b. All our scheming, striving.</div>
<div class="SSN_level2">B. We shall hunger no more for we shall be constantly filled.</div>
<div class="SSN_level3">1. So completely and constantly we shall never again experience hunger or thirst.</div>
<div class="SSN_level3">2. We shall be able to devote ourselves to more than just a struggle to be filled.</div>
<div class="SSN_rnum">II. "FOR THE LAMB WHO IS IN THE MIDST OF THE THRONE SHALL FEED THEM."</div>
<div class="SSN_level2">A. The Book of Revelation is the unveiling of Jesus Christ in His future glory.</div>
<div class="SSN_level3">1. He is pictured as a Lamb.</div>
<div class="SSN_level4">a. As such, we are reminded of His sacrifice for us.</div>
<div class="SSN_level4">b. Throughout O.T. period man was to bring sacrificial offerings to God.</div>
<div class="SSN_level5">1. The idea was to give God something that cost you.</div>
<div class="SSN_level5">2. David said, "I will not give to the Lord that which cost me nothing."</div>
<div class="SSN_level4">c. In the N.T. we see God sacrificing for man.</div>
<div class="SSN_level5">1. Giving that which was most precious to Him, His only begotten Son.</div>
<div class="SSN_level3">2. When we see Him as a Lamb we will be reminded of God's great love for us.</div>
<div class="SSN_level3">3. The Greek word translated "feed" is shepherd.</div>
<div class="SSN_level4">a. "The Lamb shall shepherd them."</div>
<div class="SSN_level5">1. Who would better know the needs of the sheep?</div>
<div class="SSN_level5">2. He became as us to better understand us so as to better help us.</div>
<div class="SSN_level5">3. He became as us so as we might become as Him.</div>
<div class="SSN_rnum">III. "AND SHALL LEAD THEM TO LIVING FOUNTAINS OF WATERS."</div>
<div class="SSN_level2">A. Jesus cried at the feast, "If any man thirst..."</div>
<div class="SSN_level3">1. To the woman of Samaria He said, "He who drinks of this water..."</div>
<div class="SSN_level3">2. To the Jews He said, "I am the bread of life, he that cometh to Me shall never hunger."</div>
<div class="SSN_level3">3. Hunger, thirst, common words, common experiences.</div>
<div class="SSN_level4">a. The day is coming when these words shall be removed from our vocabularies.</div>
<div class="SSN_level3">4. Who is it that He shepherds over?</div>
<div class="SSN_level4">a. "My sheep do hear My voice and they do follow Me."</div>
