<div class="SSN_level2">A. The language of the faithful, God who brings things to pass as he has</div>

<div class="SSN_level3">1. The church has failed.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">2. Christ remains.</div>

<div class="SSN_level2">B. He speaks here as Creator.</div>

<div class="SSN_rnum">II. CONDITION KNOWN "I KNOW THY WORKS."</div>

<div class="SSN_level2">A. Their spiritual state.</div>

<div class="SSN_level3">1. Neither hot or cold - lukewarm.</div>

<div class="SSN_level3">2. Lukewarm bespeaks a compromise.</div>
|

<div class="SSN_level2">B. Supreme self-confidence, "Thou sayest."</div>

<div class="SSN_level2">C. Ignorance of true position.</div>

<div class="SSN_level3">1. "Thou sayest - knowest not."</div>

<div class="SSN_level2">D. The imminent danger "I will spew thee out." Note their proud blind pretensions. "I am rich." Count their numbers, their wealth, their worldly importance, their great cathedrals, churches, universities. Lobbyist. The Bedouin church would reform the world that crucified Christ, denounces those who from scripture point that evil man shall wax worse and worse. They do not look for personal return of Christ. "Need of Nothing." Lethargy. Their poverty in view of the riches in Christ they could know.</div>

|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">A. Even to this apostate church.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">B. "As many as I love, I reprove and chasten."</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">1. Christ still asserts love toward them.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">2. "Faithful is the word of a friend."</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">3. Too few preachers today are willing to follow exhortation, reprove, rebuke.</div>

<div class="SSN_level3">4. Some of this church have repented.</div>

<div class="SSN_rnum">IV. "BEHOLD I STAND AT THE DOOR AND KNOCK."</div>

<div class="SSN_level2">A. Plea of one who is meek and lowly.</div>

<div class="SSN_level3">1. If we found ourselves locked out of where we rightfully belong, assert our rights or leave in wrath.</div>
|

<div class="SSN_level3">2. Stand patiently still and knocks.</div>

<div class="SSN_level2">B. Three important facts.</div>
|

<div class="SSN_level3">1. People can belong to Christ's church and not belong to Christ.</div>
|

<div class="SSN_level4">a. Never hearing Christ's voice.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">2. Anyone may hearken who will.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">3. The door opens from within.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_notes">Unbelief to take glorious truth of divine election and make fatalism of it. Try to blame their own unwillingness upon God.</div>
