<div class="SSN_intro">Intro: From the beginning the Bible has pictured God as a seeking God. "Adam, where art thou?" Now Christ declares purpose.</div>
<div class="SSN_rnum">I. LOST.</div>
<div class="SSN_level2">A. What does it mean?</div>
<div class="SSN_level3">1. The loss of the soul.</div>
<div class="SSN_level3">2. Many things you might lose.</div>
<div class="SSN_level4">a. Money.</div>
<div class="SSN_level4">b. Health.</div>
<div class="SSN_level4">c. Loved ones.</div>
<div class="SSN_level4">d. Reputation, influence, home.</div>
<div class="SSN_level3">3. I would rather lose these things than soul.</div>
<div class="SSN_level3">4. The grave-ends sickness, poverty, earthly trials. But fearful beginning for sinner.</div>
<div class="SSN_level2">B. How is a person lost?</div>
<div class="SSN_level3">1. Born in sin.</div>
<div class="SSN_level4">Suppose this not so:</div>
<div class="SSN_level3">2. All have sinned.</div>
<div class="SSN_level3">3. God has provided only one remedy for sin. "The blood of Jesus Christ God's Son cleanseth."</div>
<div class="SSN_level2">C. When is a person lost?</div>
<div class="SSN_level3">1. Lost in life.</div>
<div class="SSN_level4">a. Family, church.</div>
<div class="SSN_level3">2. Lost in death.</div>
<div class="SSN_level3">3. Lost at Judgement bar of God.</div>
<div class="SSN_rnum">II. CHRIST HAS COME TO SEEK.</div>
<div class="SSN_level2">A. Man in this lost state you would think would be the one seeking.</div>
<div class="SSN_level3">1. Alas he is blind.</div>
<div class="SSN_level3">2. Satan has deceived him.</div>
<div class="SSN_level2">B. The seeking God we once again see in the attitude of seeking man.</div>
<div class="SSN_level3">1. He has sent His Son.</div>
<div class="SSN_level3">2. He now sends His Spirit.</div>
<div class="SSN_rnum">III. THE PURPOSE BEHIND THE SEEKING IS TO SAVE.</div>
<div class="SSN_level2">A. The Word saved has opposite connotations to the Word lost.</div>
<div class="SSN_level2">B. What does it mean to be saved?</div>
<div class="SSN_level3">1. Sins forgiven.</div>
<div class="SSN_level3">2. Penalty of sins removed.</div>
<div class="SSN_level3">3. Eternity with Christ secured.</div>
