<p>Gideon bids his men to look to him and to act as he acts, so that there may be united action. When he blew his trumpet they were to blow theirs; when he brake his pitcher they were to break theirs; and when he shouted they were to shout too. The Lord Jesus also says to His followers, "Look on Me and do likewise."</p>

<p>1. He bids us <b>love</b> as He loves (<a id="fem70-si2" onclick="return mV('Jhn',13,34);">Jhn 13:34</a>).</p>

<p>2 He calls us to <b>suffer</b> wrongfully as He suffered (<a id="fem70-si3" onclick="return mV('1Pe',2,'20-23');">1Pe 2:20-23</a>).</p>
