<p>The glowing bow of God's grace is seen in the dark cloud of the people's sin.</p>
|
|
<p>1. <b>A gracious message</b> (<a id="fem375-si2" onclick="return mV('2Ch',15,1,2);">2Ch 15:1-2</a>). The message promises that if the people will side with the Lord, the Lord will side with them (see <a id="fem375-si3" onclick="return mV('Luk',9,50);">Luk 9:50</a>).</li>

<p>2. <b>A grievous case</b> (<a id="fem375-si4" onclick="return mV('2Ch',15,3);">2Ch 15:3</a>). It was sad to be without God, without law, and without instruction; but the unsaved are in a worse plight. They have…</p>

<p>3. <b>A good find</b> (<a id="fem375-si13" onclick="return mV('2Ch',15,4);">2Ch 15:4</a>). To find the Lord is to find all good, as the prodigal found when he came home to his father. To find the Lord is to be found of the Lord (<a id="fem375-si14" onclick="return mV('2Ch',15,5,6,7,7,9,10);">Luk 15:5-10</a>).</p>

<p>4. <b>A gloomy country</b> (<a id="fem375-si15" onclick="return mV('2Ch',15,5,6);">2Ch 15:5-6</a>). When men get wrong with God, they are sure to fall out with each other. Gloom is the daughter of godlessness.</p>
|
|
<li><b>A grand promise</b> (<a id="fem375-si16" onclick="return mV('2Ch',15,7);">2Ch 15:7</a>). An honest heart is the one essential for the seed of God's truth to bring forth fruit (<a id="fem375-si17" onclick="return mV('Mat',13,23);">Mat 13:23</a>), and diligence is the forerunner of blessing. Work and reward go together.</p>

<p>5. <b>A genuine revival</b> (<a id="fem375-si18" onclick="return mV('2Ch',15,8);">2Ch 15:8</a>). There are always two sides to a genuine revival, namely the <i>negative</i> side—the "putting away" (<a id="fem375-si19" onclick="return mV('1Pe',2,1);">1Pe 2:1</a>, R.V.), and the <i>positive</i> side—renewing "the altar of the Lord" (<a id="fem375-si20" onclick="return mV('2Ch',15,8);">2Ch 15:8</a>).</p>

<p>6. <b>A gathered host</b> (<a id="fem375-si21" onclick="return mV('2Ch',15,9,10);">2Ch 15:9-10</a>). When men get near to God, they get near to each other. The true basis of union is found in gathering around the True Centre—Christ (<a id="fem375-si22" onclick="return mV('1Cr',12,12);">1Cr 12:12</a>).</p>
