<h2>25. AUTHORITY OF CHRIST</h2>

<p>1. Christ has authority over all flesh (<a id="fem25-si1" onclick="return mV('Jhn',17,2);">Jhn 17:2</a>, R.V.).</p>
|

<p>2. Christ has all authority given to Him in heaven and earth (<a id="fem25-si2" onclick="return mV('Mat',28,18);">Mat 28:18</A>, R.V.).</p>

<p>3. Christ had authority from His Father to lay down His life (<a id="fem25-si3" onclick="return mV('Jhn',10,18);">Jhn 10:18</A>). The word "<i>power</i>" in this verse is the same that is rendered "authority" in <a id="fem25-si4" onclick="return mV('Jhn',17,2);">Jhn 17:2</A>, R.V.</p>

<p>4. Christ has authority to forgive sins (<a id="fem25-si5" onclick="return mV('Mat',9,6);">Mat 9:6</a>, margin, R.V.).</p>

<p>5. Christ gives authority to those who receive Him, to be the children of God (<a id="fem25-si6" onclick="return mV('Jhn',1,12);">Jhn 1:12</A>). The word "power" is the same as "authority" in <a id="fem25-si7" onclick="return mV('Jhn',5,27);">Jhn 5:27</A>.</p>
