<h2>200. INCLUSIVENESS OF "IN CHRIST"</h2>
|
|
<p>"In Christ" is an inclusive term, for it tells us that the believer is blessed with all spiritual blessings in Him.</p>
|
|
<p>1. In Christ we are <b>absolved</b> from all charges. "In (<i>en</i>, the preposition that is usually rendered <i>in</i>) Him all that believe are justified from all things" (<a id="fem200-si1" onclick="return mV('Act',13,39);">Act 13:39</a>).</p>
|
|
<p>2. In Christ we have <b>bequeathed</b> to us untold bounty. "Freely bestowed on us in the Beloved" (<a id="fem200-si2" onclick="return mV('Eph',1,6);">Eph 1:6</a>, R.V.)</p>
|
|
<p>3. In Christ we are <b>chosen</b> in the holiness of His person. "Chosen us in Him…that we should be holy" (<a id="fem200-si3" onclick="return mV('Eph',1,4);">Eph 1:4</a>).</p>
|
|
<p>4. In Christ we are <b>delivered</b> from all condemnation. "No condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus" (<a id="fem200-si4" onclick="return mV('Rom',8,1);">Rom 8:1</a>).</p>
|
|
<p>5. In Christ we have an <b>endowment</b> that is sufficient for all our need. "God shall fulfil every need of yours according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus" (<a id="fem200-si5" onclick="return mV('Phl',4,19);">Phl 4:19</a>, R.V.)</p>
|
|
<p>6. In Christ we are <b>filled</b> with the fulness of God. "In Him dwelleth the fulness of the Godhead bodily, and in Him ye are made full" (<a id="fem200-si6" onclick="return mV('Col',2,9,10);">Col 2:9-10</a>, R.V.)</p>
|
|
<p>7. In Christ there is the <b>grace</b> that is impregnable in its protection. "Strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus" (<a id="fem200-si7" onclick="return mV('2Ti',2,1);">2Ti 2:1</a>).</p>
|
|
<p>8. In Christ there is a <b>happiness</b> that is satisfying in its nature. "Rejoice in Christ Jesus" (<a id="fem200-si8" onclick="return mV('Phl',3,3);">Phl 3:3</a>).</p>
|
|
<p>9. In Christ there is an <b>inheritance</b> that is unchanging in its character. "In whom we have obtained an inheritance" (<a id="fem200-si9" onclick="return mV('Eph',1,11);">Eph 1:11</a>).</p>
|
|
<p>10. In Christ there is a <b>justification</b> that is irrevocable in its character. "Justified by faith in Christ" (<a id="fem200-si10" onclick="return mV('Gal',2,16);">Gal 2:16</a>, R.V.)</p>
|
|
<p>11. In Christ there is a <b>keeping</b> that is certain in its security. "The peace of God…shall guard your hearts and thoughts in Christ Jesus" (<a id="fem200-si11" onclick="return mV('Phl',4,7);">Phl 4:7</a>, R.V.)</p>
|
|
<p>12. In Christ there is a <b>life</b> that is unending in its energy. "Gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus" (<a id="fem200-si12" onclick="return mV('Rom',6,23);">Rom 6:23</a>, R.V.)</p>
|
|
<p>13. In Christ there is a <b>meetness</b> that is sufficient for God's presence. "Sanctified in Christ Jesus" (<a id="fem200-si13" onclick="return mV('1Cr',1,2);">1Cr 1:2</a>).</p>
|
|
<p>14. In Christ there is a <b>nearness</b> that is unequalled in its approach. "In Christ Jesus ye that once were far off are made nigh in the blood of Christ" (<a id="fem200-si14" onclick="return mV('Eph',2,13);">Eph 2:13</a>, R.V.)</p>
|
|
<p>15. In Christ there is a <b>oneness</b> that is inseparable in its bond. "Ye are all one in Christ Jesus" (<a id="fem200-si15" onclick="return mV('Gal',3,28);">Gal 3:28</a>).</p>
|
|
<p>16. In Christ we have a <b>position</b> that is unparalleled in its dignity. "Raised us up with Him and made us to sit with Him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus" (<a id="fem200-si16" onclick="return mV('Eph',2,6);">Eph 2:6</a>, R.V.)</p>
|
|
<p>17. In Christ we have a <b>redemption</b>, that is the channel of all blessing from God. "Justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus" (<a id="fem200-si17" onclick="return mV('Rom',3,24);">Rom 3:24</a>).</p>
|
|
<p>18. In Christ we have a <b>salvation</b> that is mighty in its outcome. "Saved in (margin) His life" (<a id="fem200-si18" onclick="return mV('Rom',5,10);">Rom 5:10</a>, R.V.)</p>
