<h2>178. GRACIOUSNESS OF JESUS</h2>
|

<p>We do not wonder at the gracious words that fell from Christ's lips, for grace was poured into them (<a id="fem177-si" onclick="return mV('Psa',45,2);">Psa 45:2</a>), the grace of God was upon Him (<a id="fem177-si" onclick="return mV('Luk',2,40);">Luk 2:40</a>); yea, He was full of grace and truth (<a id="fem177-si" onclick="return mV('Jhn',1,14,16);">Jhn 1:14, 16</a>). "His mouth is most sweet" (<a id="fem177-si" onclick="return mV('Sgs',5,16);">Sgs 5:16</a>). His mouth is sweet for many reasons.</p>

<p>1. Sweet, because <b>life-giving</b> (<a id="fem177-si" onclick="return mV('Jhn',6,63);">Jhn 6:63</a>).</p>
|
|
<p>2. Sweet, because <b>supplying</b> (<a id="fem177-si" onclick="return mV('Rom',3,24);">Sgs 1:2</a>).</p>

<p>3. Sweet, because <b>assuring</b> (<a id="fem177-si" onclick="return mV('Isa',43,14);">Isa 43:14</a>).</p>
|
|
<p>4. Sweet, because <b>sustaining</b> (<a id="fem177-si" onclick="return mV('Deu',8,3);">Deu 8:3</a>).</p>
|
|
<p>5. Sweet, because <b>comforting</b> (<a id="fem177-si" onclick="return mV('Jhn',14,1);">Jhn 14:1</a>).</p>

<p>The words of Christ are like oil upon the troubled waters, they bring calmness and comfort; they are like bread to the hungry man, they bring nourishment and nerve; they are like the warm spring, which causes nature to bud and blossom; they are like an unfailing spring, ever fresh and full; they are like a salve to a wound, healing and soothing; and they are like honey for sweetness and satisfaction.</p>
