<p>Human beings are emotional creatures. We make many decisions on how we feel at the moment. Yet our Christian experience should not be based upon our moment to moment feelings. We are to walk by what we know, not how we feel. This is because our feelings change.</p>
|

<p><b>Walk by Faith</b></p>
|
|
<p>The Bible emphasizes that our Christian experience should be based upon faith:
|
|
<blockquote><p>For we walk by faith, not by sight (<a id="nbi558-si1" onClick="return mV('2Cr',5,7);">2Cr 5:7</a>).</p></blockquote>
|
|
|
|
<p><b>God Is Faithful</b></p>
|
|
<p>The children of Israel let their feelings get in the way of trusting God. The saw the giants in the land and were afraid. The forgot what God had done for them.
|
|
<blockquote><p>Great is Your faithfulness (<a id="nbi558-si2" onClick="return mV('Lam',3,23);">Lam 3:23</a>).</p></blockquote>

|
|
<p><b>Examples</b></p>
|
|
<p><a id="nbi558-si3" onClick="return mV('Hbr',11,'1-');">Hbr 11</a> provides examples of men and women of faith. We are given these accounts to serve as examples for us.
|

<blockquote><p>Now these things became our examples, to the intent that we should not lust after evil things they also lusted (<a id="nbi558-si4" onClick="return mV('1Cr',10,6);">1Cr 10:6</a>).</p></blockquote>

|
<p><b>Summary</b></p>
|
|
<p>Our Christian experience should be based upon what we know, not how we feel. God's Word has provided examples of men and women of faith. As we read the account of the faithfulness in their lives it should encourage us also to be faithful.</p>
