<h2>139. FAITHFULNESS OF GOD</h2>
|
|
<p>1. He is <i>faithful</i> that called us unto the fellowship of His Son. "God is faithful, by whom ye were called" (<a id="fem139-si1" onclick="return mV('1Cr',1,9);">1Cr 1:9</a>).</p>
|
|
<p>2. He is <i>faithful</i>, and will not suffer us to be tempted above what we are able to bear (<a id="fem139-si2" onclick="return mV('1Cr',10,13);">1Cr 10:13</a>).</p>
|
|
<p>3. The Lord is <i>faithful</i> to sanctify us wholly. "The very God of peace sanctify you wholly" (<a id="fem139-si3" onclick="return mV('1Th',5,23);">1Th 5:23</a>).</p>
|
|
<p>4. He is <i>faithful</i> to stablish and keep. "The Lord is faithful, who shall stablish you, and keep you from evil" (<a id="fem139-si4" onclick="return mV('2Th',3,3);">2Th 3:3</a>).</p>

|
<p>5. His own character the ground of His faithfulness. "If we believe not, yet He abideth faithful; He cannot deny Himself" (<a id="fem139-si5" onclick="return mV('Jhn',1,12);">2Ti 2:13</a>).</p>

<p>6. He is <i>faithful</i> to keep to His promises. "He is faithful that promised" (<a id="fem139-si6" onclick="return mV('Hbr',10,23);">Hbr 10:23</a>).</p>
|
|
<p>7. He is <i>faithful</i> to forgive, if we confess our sins. "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive" (<a id="fem139-si7" onclick="return mV('1Jo',1,9);">1Jo 1:9</a>).</p>
