||
<p>One of the most important chapters in the Bible: an overview of the enigma of Israel, without which the Bible cannot be fully understood.</p>

<p><a onclick="return mV('Rev',12,'1-')">Revelation 12</a> really begins in <a onclick="return mV('Rev',11,19)">Rev 11:19</a>: The Temple is in heaven, not on earth; the real ark is in heaven, not on earth; Moses’ was but a replica (<a onclick="return mV('Heb',8,5)">Heb 8:5</a>). Represents throne of God (<a onclick="return mV('1Sa',4,4)">1Sa 4:4</a>; <a onclick="return mV('Isa',6,'1-')">Isa 6</a>; <a onclick="return mV('Eze',1,'1-')">Eze 1</a>; <a onclick="return mV('Eze',10,'1-')">Eze 10</a>; <a onclick="return mV('Rev',4,'1-')">Rev 4</a>; <a onclick="return mV('Rev',5,'1-')">Rev 5</a>.</p>

<p>One must come to God on <i>His</i> terms: <a onclick="return mV('Lev',16,14)">Lev 16:14</a>; <a onclick="return mV('Lev',10,1)">Lev 10:1</a>; <a onclick="return mV('Deu',10,8)">Deu 10:8</a> vs. <a onclick="return mV('2Sa',6,11,12)">2Sa 6:11-12</a>; (Cf. <a onclick="return mV('Jhn',14,6)">Jhn 14:6</a>; <a onclick="return mV('Mat',7,13)">Mat 7:13</a>).</p>

<h5>The Woman</h5>

<p>One of four women described in this book: Jezebel (<a onclick="return mV('Rev',2,20)">Rev 2:20</a>); the Harlot (<a onclick="return mV('Rev',17,'1-')">Rev 17</a>; <a onclick="return mV('Rev',18,'1-')">Rev 18</a>); this one; and the Bride (<a onclick="return mV('Rev',19,7)">Rev 19:7</a>; <a onclick="return mV('Rev',21,2,9)">Rev 21:2,9</a>).</p>

<p>The Bride is the espoused Virgin (<a onclick="return mV('2Co',11,2)">2Cr 11:2</a>): if this woman is the bride, she is in a lot of trouble—she’s pregnant!</p>
|
||
<p>Her identity is interpreted for us by Jacob in <a onclick="return mV('Gen',37,9,10)">Gen 37:9-10</a>. Israel is described as a woman in travail in OT (<a onclick="return mV('Isa',54,5)">Isa 54:5</a>; <a onclick="return mV('Isa',66,7)">Isa 66:7</a>; <a onclick="return mV('Jer',3,'6-10')">Jer 3:6-10</a>; <a onclick="return mV('Mic',4,10)">Micah 4:10</a>; <a onclick="return mV('Mic',5,'2-3')">Micah 5:2-3</a>). The Messianic Line begins, however, at <a onclick="return mV('Gen',3,15)">Gen 3:15</a>.</p>

<p class="hangIndent">[2] “And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered”: She gives birth to the man-child who is to rule with a rod of iron. Man-child (<a onclick="return mV('Psa',2,9)">Psa 2:9</a>; <a onclick="return mV('Rev',2,27)">Rev 2:27</a>; <a onclick="return mV('Rev',19,15)">Rev 19:15</a>) = Christ.</p>

<p>This is Israel, not the Church (<a onclick="return mV('Mic',4,9)">Micah 4:9</a>; <a onclick="return mV('Mic',5,2)">Micah 5:2</a>). <a onclick="return mV('Isa',9,6)">Isa 9:6</a>: “Unto us a child is born...” (Unto who? Israel).</p>
