<p>As the first ray of the morning sun is the harbinger of the sunshine of the day, so this first miracle was the forerunner of the many wondrous deeds that Christ was about to perform.</p>
|
|
<p>There are many rays in the sun of Christ's glory:—</p>
|
|
<p>1. The <b>moral</b> glory of His <b>life</b> proclaims the <b>spotlessness</b> of His <b>holiness</b> (<a id="fem63-si2" onclick="return mV('Jhn',1,14);">Jhn 1:14</a>).</p>
|
|
<p>2. The <b>majestic</b> glory of His <b>person</b> speaks forth the <b>excellence</b> of His <b>worth</b> (<a id="fem63-si3" onclick="return mV('2Pe',1,17);">2Pe 1:17</a>).</p>
|
|
<p>3. The <b>mysterious</b> glory of His <b>Deity</b> tells out the <b>wonder</b> of His <b>Godhead</b> (<a id="fem63-si4" onclick="return mV('Psa',24,7,10);">Psa 24:7, 10</a>; <a id="fem63-si5" onclick="return mV('Hbr',1,3);">Hbr 1:3</a>).</p>

|
<p>4. The <b>munificent</b> glory of His <b>grace</b> reminds us of the <b>greatness</b> of His <b>mercy</b> (<a id="fem63-si6" onclick="return mV('Eph',1,6);">Eph 1:6</a>).</p>
|
|
<p>5. The <b>many-si7ded</b> glory of His <b>truth</b> declares the <b>immutability</b> of its <b>infallibility</b> (<a id="fem63-si8" onclick="return mV('Psa',108,4,5);">Psa 108:4-5</a>).</p>
|
|
<p>6. The <b>marvellous</b> glory of His <b>Gospel</b> tells out the <b>sufficiency</b> of His <b>atonement</b> (<a id="fem63-si9" onclick="return mV('1Cr',4,6);">2Cr 4:6</a>).</p>
|
|
<p>7. The <b>mighty</b> glory of His <b>miracles</b> speaks of the <b>strength</b> of His <b>power</b> (<a id="fem63-si10" onclick="return mV('Eph',3,16,19);">Eph 3:16, 19</a>).</p>
