<p>The remedy against all sin is Christ. As Ulysses, in the Odyssey, was safe from the enchantments of Circe, because of a certain herb which he possessed; so those who have Christ, and whom Christ has, possess an antidote against all inconsistencies.</p>
|
|
<p>1. The <b>Meekness</b> of Christ shall save from intemperance in dress, as His Word is followed (<a id="fem26-si2" onclick="return mV('1Pe',3,3,4,5);">1Pe 3:3-5</A>).</p>
|
|
<p>2. The <b>Love</b> of Christ shall save from evil habit, as that love fills the being by obedience (<a id="fem26-si3" onclick="return mV('Luk',7,47);">Luk 7:47</a>; <a id="fem26-si4" onclick="return mV('Jhn',14,21);">Jhn 14:21</A>).</p>

<p>3. The <b>Power</b> of Christ shall save from stumbling into the snares of sin, as we trust in Him (<a id="fem26-si5" onclick="return mV('Jud',1,24);">Jud 1:24</a>, R.V.).</p>
|
|
<p>4. The <b>Spirit</b> of Christ shall save from failure, as we are filled with Him, through waiting upon Him (<a id="fem26-si6" onclick="return mV('Act',4,33);">Act 4:33</A>).</p>
|
|
<p>5. The <b>Holiness</b> of Christ shall save from unlikeness to Christ, as we abide in Him (<a id="fem26-si7" onclick="return mV('Jhn',15,5);">Jhn 15:5</A>).</p>
|
|
<p>6. The <b>Zeal</b> of Christ shall save from laziness in the Lord's service, as we are fired by Him (<a id="fem26-si8" onclick="return mV('1Cr',15,58);">1Cr 15:58</A>).</p>
|
|
<p>7. The <b>Coming</b> of Christ shall save us from discouragement, as we are looking for Him (<a id="fem26-si9" onclick="return mV('Jam',5,7);">Jam 5:7</A>).</p>
