<h2>133. FAITH</h2>

<h3><a id="fem133-si1" onclick="return mV('Hbr',11,'13-22');">HEBREWS 11:13-22</a></h3>

<p>1. <b>Trust of faith</b> (<a id="fem133-si2" onclick="return mV('Hbr',11,13);">Hbr 11:13</a>). The promises are received as bank notes, which are as good as cash. Mark the words, "received," "persuaded," "embraced," "confessed."</p>
|
|
<p>2. <b>Telescope of faith</b> (<a id="fem133-si3" onclick="return mV('Hbr',11,13);">Hbr 11:13</a>). Unbelief says, "Seeing is believing," but faith says, "Believing is seeing." The promises are "seen afar off," but they are <i>seen</i>.</p>
|
|
<p>3. <b>Testimony of faith</b> (<a id="fem133-si4" onclick="return mV('Hbr',11,14);">Hbr 11:14</a>). Faith declares by its actions what its aim is. "Came out" declares the separation of the man of faith; and the "wherefore" the consequent blessing.</p>
|
|
<p>4. <b>Trial of faith</b> (<a id="fem133-si5" onclick="return mV('Hbr',11,17,18,19);">Hbr 11:17-19</a>). Faith looks at God's presence and power, when tried. If the Lord does not deliver us <i>out</i> of the trial, He will be <i>with</i> us in it.</p>
|

<p>5. <b>Thoughtfulness of faith</b> (<a id="fem133-si6" onclick="return mV('Hbr',11,20);">Hbr 11:20</a>). Faith looks not on its own things, but looks out for others.</p>
|
|
<p>6. <b>Tact of faith</b> (<a id="fem133-si7" onclick="return mV('Hbr',11,21);">Hbr 11:21</a>). Faith's reverses are God's directions. Ponder the words "blessed" and "worshipped" in the light of Gen 48:17-21.</p>
|
|
<p>7. <b>Tranquility of faith</b> (<a id="fem133-si8" onclick="return mV('Hbr',11,22);">Hbr 11:22</a>). The thought of the future fills the man of unbelief with fear; but the man of faith can speak of the future with perfect calm.</p>
