<h2>491. WHAT WE ARE TO DO WITH THE WORD OF GOD</h2>
|
|
<p>1. <b>Receive the Word with meekness</b>, and thus be saved from all wickedness (<a id="fem491-si1" onClick="return mV('Jas',1,21);">Jas 1:21</a>).</p>
|
|
<p>2. <b>Let it dwell in us richly</b>, that we may teach others (<a id="fem491-si2" onClick="return mV('Col',3,16);">Col 3:16</a>).</p>

<p>3. <b>Keep it</b>, and thus have His love perfected in us (<a id="fem491-si3" onClick="return mV('1Jo',2,5);">1Jo 2:5</a>).</p>

<p>4. <b>Continue in it</b>, that it may be manifest that we are His disciples indeed (<a id="fem491-si4" onClick="return mV('Jhn',8,31);">Jhn 8:31</a>).</p>

<p>5. <b>Hold it fast</b>, that we may be able to convince gainsayers (<a id="fem491-si5" onClick="return mV('Tts',1,9);">Tts 1:9</a>).</p>

<p>6. <b>Be doers of it</b>, and not deceive ourselves by thinking that hearing is enough without the doing (<a id="fem491-si6" onClick="return mV('Jam',1,22);">Jam 1:22</a>).</p>

<p>7. <b>Speak it out boldly</b>, that the Lord may be honoured (<a id="fem491-si7" onClick="return mV('Phl',1,14);">Phl 1:14</a>).</p>

<p>8. <b>Hold it forth faithfully</b>, by living it out truly (<a id="fem491-si8" onClick="return mV('Phl',2,16);">Phl 2:16</a>).</p>
