|
<p>There are seven things that characterise Caleb.</p>
|
|
<p>He was a <b>thorough believer,</b> for he followed the Lord fully (<a id="fem43-si9" onclick="return mV('Num',14,24);">Num 14:24</a>).</p>
|
|
<p>He was a <b>courageous witness,</b> for he would not listen to the popular voice (<a id="fem43-si1" onclick="return mV('Num',13,30);">Num 13:30</a>).</p>
|
|
<p>He was a <b>separated saint,</b> for he was of "another spirit" than the others (<a id="fem43-si2" onclick="return mV('Num',14,24);">Num 14:24</a>).</p>
|
|
<p>He was a <b>prompt actor.</b> "Let us go up at once and possess the land," is his cry (<a id="fem43-si3" onclick="return mV('Num',13,30);">Num 13:30</a>).</p>
|
|
<p>He was a <b>confident man.</b> "We are well able to overcome," is his unhesitating cry (<a id="fem43-si4" onclick="return mV('Num',13,30);">Num 13:30</A>).</p>
|
|
<p>He was a <b>persecuted servant.</b> The people are not willing to hearken to Joshua and Caleb, but want to stone them (<a id="fem43-si5" onclick="return mV('Num',14,10);">Num 14:10</A>).</p>
|
|
<p>He was a <b>rewarded disciple</b> (<a id="fem43-si6" onclick="return mV('Num',14,24);">Num 14:24</a>; <a id="fem43-si7" onclick="return mV('Num',32,11,12);">Num 32:11-12</a>), for he was privileged to see, enter, and enjoy the land of promise (<a id="fem43-si8" onclick="return mV('Jos',14,1);">Jos 14</a>).</p>
