<p>The state of the natural man is deplorable in the sight of God (<a id="fem380-si1" onclick="return mV('Psa',14,'1-');">Psa 14</a>). The following are a few of the characteristics of the
|
|
one who lacks the life of God.</p>
|
|
<p>1. <b>Carnal state.</b> "The carnal mind is enmity against God" (<a id="fem380-si2" onclick="return mV('Rom',8,7);">Rom 8:7</a>).</p>
|
|
<p>2. <b>Deceitful state.</b> "The heart is deceitful" (<a id="fem380-si3" onclick="return mV('Jer',17,9);">Jer 17:9</a>).</p>
|
|
<p>3. <b>Unrighteous state.</b> "None righteous" (<a id="fem380-si4" onclick="return mV('Rom',3,10);">Rom 3:10</a>).</p>
|
|
<p>4. <b>Lifeless state.</b> "Dead in trespasses and sins" (<a id="fem380-si5" onclick="return mV('Eph',2,1);">Eph 2:1</a>).</p>
|
|
<p>5. <b>Godless state.</b> "Without God" (<a id="fem380-si6" onclick="return mV('Eph',2,12);">Eph 2:12</a>).</p>
|
|
<p>6. <b>Christless state.</b> "Without Christ" (<a id="fem380-si7" onclick="return mV('Eph',2,12);">Eph 2:12</a>).</p>

<p>7. <b>Darkened state.</b> "Darkness" (<a id="fem380-si8" onclick="return mV('Eph',4,18);">Eph 4:18</a>; <a id="fem380-si9" onclick="return mV('Eph',5,8);">Eph 5:8</a>).</p>
