<h2>198. IGNORANCE</h2>
|
|
<p>The natural man is ignorant of the—</p>
|
|
<p>1. <b>Word of Christ.</b> "But they understood not that saying" (<a id="fem198-si1" onclick="return mV('Mar',9,32);">Mar 9:32</a>).</p>
|
|
<p>2. <b>Person of Christ.</b> "They knew Him not" (<a id="fem198-si2" onclick="return mV('Act',13,27);">Act 13:27</a>; <a id="fem198-si3" onclick="return mV('Act',17,23);">Act 17:23</a>).</p>
|
|
<p>3. <b>Righteousness of God.</b> "Have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God" (<a id="fem198-si4" onclick="return mV('Rom',10,3);">Rom 10:3</a>).</p>
|
|
<p>4. <b>Goodness of God.</b> "Despisest thou the riches of His goodness" (<a id="fem198-si5" onclick="return mV('Rom',2,4);">Rom 2:4</a>).</p>
|
|
<p>5. <b>Of the believer.</b> "As unknown" (<a id="fem198-si6" onclick="return mV('2Cr',6,9);">2Cr 6:9</a>).</p>
|
|
<p>THINGS God would not have the believer ignorant of—</p>
|
|
<p>1. <b>Our standing.</b> "Know ye not that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ, were baptized into His death" (<a id="fem198-si7" onclick="return mV('Rom',6,3);">Rom 6:3</a>).</p>
|
|
<p>2. <b>His purpose towards Israel.</b> "Not…ignorant of this mystery" (<a id="fem198-si8" onclick="return mV('Rom',11,25);">Rom 11:25</a>).</p>
|
|
<p>3. <b>The Old Testament.</b> "Not…ignorant how that all our fathers" (<a id="fem198-si9" onclick="return mV('1Cr',10,1);">1Cr 10:1</a>).</p>
|
|
<p>4. <b>Gifts.</b> "Spiritual gifts…I would not have you ignorant" (<a id="fem198-si10" onclick="return mV('1Cr',12,1);">1Cr 12:1</a>).</p>
|
|
<p>5. <b>The Lord's coming.</b> "Ignorant…concerning them which are asleep" (<a id="fem198-si11" onclick="return mV('1Th',4,13);">1Th 4:13</a>).</p>
|
|
<p>Christ has compassion on the ignorant. "Who can have compassion on the ignorant" (<a id="fem198-si12" onclick="return mV('Hbr',5,2);">Hbr 5:2</a>).</p>
|
|
<p>Believer not ignorant of Satan's devices. "Not ignorant of his devices" (<a id="fem198-si13" onclick="return mV('2Cr',2,11);">2Cr 2:11</a>).</p>
