<h2>102. COURAGE</h2>
|
|
<p>1. Courage is the Divine <b>nerve</b> that enables us to go forward at the Lord's bidding in spite of all obstacles, as seen in the case of Joshua (<a id="fem102-si1" onclick="return mV('Jos',1,6,7,9,18);">Jos 1:6, 7, 9, 18</a>).</p>
|
|
<p>2. Courage gives <b>fibre</b> to the moral nature, so that we gladly keep the Lord's Word (<a id="fem102-si2" onclick="return mV('Jos',23,6);">Jos 23:6</a>).</p>
|
|
<p>3. Courage is the <b>helm</b> that keeps the soul according to the Divine compass of God's truth, and makes us regardless of the storms we may encounter (<a id="fem102-si3" onclick="return mV('Deu',31,6,7);">Deu 31:6-7</a>).</p>
|
|
<p>4. Courage is the <b>secret</b> of a true life, for the God of Grace and Power is the feeder of it (<a id="fem102-si4" onclick="return mV('1Ch',22,13);">1Ch 22:13</a>; <a id="fem102-si5" onclick="return mV('1Ch',28,20);">1Ch 28:20</a>).</p>

|
<p>5. Courage is the <b>fire</b> that shall make us burn with a holy zeal for the Lord's honour and glory, as we are acting under the Lord's instructions (<a id="fem102-si6" onclick="return mV('2Ch',15,18);">2Ch 15:8</a>; <a id="fem102-si7" onclick="return mV('Ezr',10,4);">Ezr 10:4</a>).</p>
|
|
<p>6. Courage is the <b>forerunner</b> of blessing, for as we wait on the Lord in good courage, He comes in His grace and strengthens us (<a id="fem102-si8" onclick="return mV('Psa',37,14);">Psa 37:14</a>; <a id="fem102-si9" onclick="return mV('Psa',31,24);">Psa 31:24</a>).</p>
|
|
<p>7. Courage is the <b>steadfastness of faith</b>, which looks up to the Lord, and counts upon Him to give the victory in conflict (<a id="fem102-si10" onclick="return mV('2Sa',10,12);">2Sa 10:12</a>).</p>
