The Mormon Church teaches that there exist a plurality of Gods. "I have always declared God to be a distinct personage, Jesus Christ a separate and distinct personage form God the Father, and that the Holy Ghost was a distinct personage and a spirit; and these three constitute three distinct personages and three Gods.
WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS ABOUT THE TRINITY

The doctrine of the Trinity is implied in the Old Testament, (Genesis 1:26, etc.) and revealed in the New Testament, (Matthew 3:16-17, etc.) The Trinity of God (sometimes and more properly designated "Triunity" of God) means His tri-personality exists as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit in three distinct persons in one God. Each is distinct in their personal characteristics, being clearly distinguished from the other, but equal in power, glory and being (i.e., nature).

NOTE: The Mormon Church is guilty of a serious act of reductionism in the way they represent the Trinity of God.

"Many men say there is one God; the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost are only one God! I say that is a strange god any how—three in one, and one in three! It is a curious organizations—All are to be crammed into one god, according to sectarianism. It would make the biggest God in all the world. He would be a wonderfully big God—he would be a giant or a monster."

Joseph Smith, Jr., HISTORY OF THE CHURCH 6:476:76

They teach that the relationship between the Father, son, and the Holy Spirit should somehow be understood by man. Since the Trinity cannot be understood by man, then it cannot explain the relationship within the Godhead. Of course this is the point exactly: God's nature is past finding out; His ways are unsearchable; etc. The nature of God is beyond the full comprehension of man and that is why He is God! (See Romans 11:33-36)

The Mormon Church is polytheistic, they believe in more than one God. This removes them from ever being referred to as Christians for all Christians are monotheistic, they hold to the Jewish affirmation of faith of belief in ONE GOD.
