|
|
<p><em>Died:</em> April 13, 1716, Altenburg or Gotha, Germany.</p>
|
|
<p class="just">Son of the Altenburg court organist, Christian studied under his father and Georg Kasper Wecker. He became chamber organist at the court in Gotha in 1686, and <em>Kapellmeister</em> in 1713. He wrote dozens of cantatas, and compiled <em>Psalmodia Sacra</em> in 1715.</p>
