<p><em>Born:</em> July 17, 1852, Brooklyn, New York.</p>
|
|
<p><em>Died:</em> May 1, 1927, Washington, Connecticut.</p>
|
|
<p class="just">Turner attended Amherst College and Union Theological Seminary, New York, then became a Congregational minister, pastoring in Massachusetts and Connecticut. He also served as chaplain at the Hampton Normal and Agricultural Institute (1892-1925). He received a Doctor of Divinity degree from Amherst College in 1905. His works include:</p>
