|

<p><em>Died:</em> December 22, 1767, Roquemaure, France.</p>
|
|
<p class="just">Bridaine was educated at the Jesuit college of Avignon, and the Seminary of the Royal Missions of St. Charles of the Cross. He was famous as an orator, with a very unconventional, spontaneous preaching style. In his day, he was one of the best known men in France, and the <em>Catholic Encyclopedia</em> has a detailed article on him. His <em>Cantiques Spirituels</em> was published in 47 editions.</p>
