Some commentators have argued that fallen angels possessed men's bodies like the demons during the ministry of Christ. Therefore the angel's sin was to possess human males and marry women. Their offspring was a race of individuals who were beyond God's help. This view does not have the problems inherent with the angel view, yet wants to have some type of supernatural activity connected with the Flood. This view combines the elements of the angel view with elements of the ancient rulers view.

Response

Nothing in the context suggests these were demon-possessed men—only sinful violent men. The idea of demon possession of these individuals seems foreign to the context.
