<div class="SSN_rnum">I. AND SET HIM AT HIS OWN RIGHT HAND IN THE HEAVENLY PLACES.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">A. Not only was Jesus raised from the dead by that mighty power that is available to us as believers, but God has set Him at His own right hand in the heavenly places.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">1. Jesus Christ today is at the right hand of the Father in glory.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">a. This was prophesied in the psalms.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_verse"><a onClick="return mV('Psa',110,1);">PSA 110:1</a> {A Psalm of David.} The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">b. When the high priest asked Jesus, "Are you the Messiah the Son of the blessed?" Jesus answered,</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_verse"><a onClick="return mV('Mar',14,62);">MAR 14:62</a> I am: and ye shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of power, and coming in the clouds of heaven.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">c. At the end of Mark's gospel he tells us,</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_verse"><a onClick="return mV('Mar',16,19);">MAR 16:19</a> So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">d. On the day of Pentecost as Peter was preaching to the assembled crowd concerning Jesus, he declared,</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_verse"><a onClick="return mV('Act',2,25 );">ACS 2:25</a> For David speaketh concerning him, I foresaw the Lord always before my face, for he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved:</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_verse"><a onClick="return mV('Act',2,26 );">ACS 2:26</a> Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad; moreover also my flesh shall rest in hope:</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_verse"><a onClick="return mV('Act',2,27 );">ACS 2:27</a> Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_verse"><a onClick="return mV('Act',2,28 );">ACS 2:28</a> Thou hast made known to me the ways of life; thou shalt make me full of joy with thy countenance.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_verse"><a onClick="return mV('Act',2,29 );">ACS 2:29</a> Men [and] brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_verse"><a onClick="return mV('Act',2,30 );">ACS 2:30</a> Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne;</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_verse"><a onClick="return mV('Act',2,31 );">ACS 2:31</a> He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_verse"><a onClick="return mV('Act',2,32 );">ACS 2:32</a> This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses.</div>

<div class="SSN_verse"><a onClick="return mV('Act',2,33 );">ACS 2:33</a> Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">e. We are told concerning Stephen as he was standing before the counsel,</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_verse"><a onClick="return mV('Act',7,55 );">ACS 7:55</a> That he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God,</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_verse"><a onClick="return mV('Act',7,56 );">ACS 7:56</a> And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">f. Paul tells us that He is there making intercession for us.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_verse"><a onClick="return mV('Rom',8,34);">ROM 8:34</a> Who [is] he that condemneth? [It is] Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">g. Paul wrote to the Colossians,</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_verse"><a onClick="return mV('Col',3,1);">COL 3:1</a> If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">h. The author of the book of Hebrews writes concerning Jesus,</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_verse"><a onClick="return mV('Hbr',1,3);">HEB 1:3</a> Who being the brightness of [his] glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_verse"><a onClick="return mV('Hbr',10,12);">HEB 10:12</a> But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_verse"><a onClick="return mV('Hbr',10,13);">HEB 10:13</a> From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">i. Jesus promised to the overcomers in the Church of Thyatira,</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_verse"><a onClick="return mV('Rev',3,21);">REV 3:21</a> To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_rnum">II. FAR ABOVE ALL PRINCIPALITY AND POWER, MIGHT OR DOMINION, AND EVERY NAME THAT IS NAMED.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">A. Principality, power, might and dominion are rankings of the spirit world. Much like major, captain, sergeant, corporal.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">B. Jesus is far above them all.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">1. The Jehovah Witnesses declare that Jesus is Michael the archangel. He is far above Michael.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">2. The Mormons teach that Jesus is the brother to Lucifer. He is far above Lucifer.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">3. Both Michael and Lucifer were created by Jesus.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">a. "All things were made by Him, and without Him was not anything made that was made."</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">b.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_verse"><a onClick="return mV('Col',1,16);">COL 1:16</a> For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether [they be] thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">4. The angels were created for Him, so that those that left their first estate, or first principals, are many of them being kept in chains of darkness awaiting the day of judgment.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_verse"><a onClick="return mV('2Pe',2,4);">2PE 2:4</a> For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast [them] down to hell, and delivered [them] into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_verse"><a onClick="return mV('Jud',1,6);">JDE 1:6</a> And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation, he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">C. As Paul is speaking of our secure position in Christ, he declared,</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_verse"><a onClick="return mV('Rom',8,38);">ROM 8:38</a> For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_verse"><a onClick="return mV('Rom',8,39);">ROM 8:39</a> Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">1. Notice the angels are listed with the principalities and powers.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">2. These principalities and powers are divided into two camps.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">a. Those who remained true to their first principals as servants of God.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">b. Those who joined with Lucifer in his rebellion against the rule of God. The book of Revelation speaks of Satan drawing a third part of the stars of heaven with his tail by which we understand that a third of the angels joined him in his rebellion.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">c. These comprise the principalities and powers that seem to be given dominion over certain portions of the earth.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">d. When Ezekiel addresses the King of Tyrus, in <a onClick="return mV('Eze',28,1);">Ezekiel 28</a>, he goes right into a description of Satan.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">e. The angel that was dispatched to Daniel with an answer to his supplication was detained by whom he described the prince of kingdom of Persia for several days. <a onClick="return mV('Dan',10,1);">Daniel 10</a>, he then explained how that when he left Daniel he would return to the battle against him, and following him, the prince of Grecia.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">D. In <a onClick="return mV('Eph',3,'9-10');">Ephesians 3</a> Paul teaches,</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_verse"><a onClick="return mV('Eph',3,9);">EPH 3:9</a> And to make all [men] see what [is] the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_verse"><a onClick="return mV('Eph',3,10);">EPH 3:10</a> To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly [places] might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God,</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_verse"><a onClick="return mV('Eph',3,11);">EPH 3:11</a> According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord:</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">1. He tells us that God, through the church is revealing to the principalities and powers in the heavenly places the manifold wisdom of God.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">2. God's infinite love in granting us salvation through the giving of His Son for us is a marvel to the angels.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_verse"><a onClick="return mV('1Pe',1,10);">1PE 1:10</a> Of which salvation the prophets have inquired and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace [that should come] unto you:</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_verse"><a onClick="return mV('1Pe',1,11);">1PE 1:11</a> Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_verse"><a onClick="return mV('1Pe',1,12);">1PE 1:12</a> Unto whom it was revealed, that not unto themselves, but unto us they did minister the things, which are now reported unto you by them that have preached the gospel unto you with the Holy Ghost sent down from heaven; which things the angels desire to look into</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">E. In the sixth chapter Paul tells us that the real warfare is a spiritual warfare against these principalities and powers.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_verse"><a onClick="return mV('Eph',6,10);">EPH 6:10</a> Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_verse"><a onClick="return mV('Eph',6,11);">EPH 6:11</a> Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_verse"><a onClick="return mV('Eph',6,12);">EPH 6:12</a> For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places].</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">F. Paul revealed to the Colossians that Jesus is above these principalities and powers.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_verse"><a onClick="return mV('Col',2,10);">COL 2:10</a> And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">1. The head of all, or the authority over all principality and power.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">2. Mark tells us that the people marveled because the unclean spirits obeyed Him.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">3. The disciples rejoiced that the demons were subject unto them through the name of Jesus.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">4. Paul said to the damsel who had a spirit of divination,</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_verse"><a onClick="return mV('Act', 16,18);">ACS 16:18</a> I command thee in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her. And he came out the same hour.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">G. Paul taught them that Jesus spoiled these principalities and powers through His death on the cross whereby He triumphed over them.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_rnum">III. FAR ABOVE EVERY NAME THAT IS NAMED.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">A. Peter speaking to the counsel declared,</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_verse"><a onClick="return mV('Act',4,10 );">ACS 4:10</a> Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, [even] by him doth this man stand here before you whole.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_verse"><a onClick="return mV('Act',4,11 );">ACS 4:11</a> This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_verse"><a onClick="return mV('Act',4,12 );">ACS 4:12</a> Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">B. Paul wrote to the Philippians,</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_verse"><a onClick="return mV('Phl',2,1);">PHI 2:1</a> Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_verse"><a onClick="return mV('Phl',2,10);">PHI 2:10</a> That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of [things] in heaven, and [things] in earth, and [things] under the earth;</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_verse"><a onClick="return mV('Phl',2,11);">PHI 2:11</a> And [that] every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ [is] Lord, to the glory of God the Father.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">C. <a onClick="return mV('Psa',22,1);">Psalm 22</a> is prophetic of Jesus and the Psalmist declares,</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_verse"><a onClick="return mV('Psa',22,27);">PSA 22:27</a> All the ends of the world shall remember and turn unto the LORD: and all the kindreds of the nations shall worship before thee.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_verse"><a onClick="return mV('Psa',22,28);">PSA 22:28</a> For the kingdom [is] the LORD'S: and he [is] the governor among the nations.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_verse"><a onClick="return mV('Psa',22,29);">PSA 22:29</a> All [they that be] fat upon earth shall eat and worship: all they that go down to the dust shall bow before him: and none can keep alive his own soul.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">D. Isaiah prophesied of Jesus saying,</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_verse"><a onClick="return mV('Isa',45,23);">ISA 45:23</a> I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth [in] righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">E. Paul quotes this in Romans,</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_verse"><a onClick="return mV('Rom',14,11);">ROM 14:11</a> For it is written, [As] I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">F. The name of Jesus is above all names.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">1. It is Greek for the Hebrew name Joshua which is a contraction of Jehovah is salvation.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">2. The name Jehovah is a strong tower, the righteous runneth into it and is safe.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">3. God proclaimed His name and its meaning to Moses</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_verse"><a onClick="return mV('Exd',34,5);">EXO 34:5</a> And the LORD descended in the cloud, and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the LORD.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_verse"><a onClick="return mV('Exd',34,6);">EXO 34:6</a> And the LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed, The LORD, The LORD God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth,</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_verse"><a onClick="return mV('Exd',34,7);">EXO 34:7</a> Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">G. It is the name of God. God is not a name but a title, there are many gods with many different names, Mammon, Baal, Molech, Ashtoreth, Zeus, Venus, Thor, Jaguar, Lotus, BMW.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">1. There is only one true and living God, and His name is Yaweh, in Hebrew and Jesus, in Greek.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">2. One day, sooner or later, you will bow your knee to Him and declare that He is Lord to the glory of God the Father. Better sooner than later.</div>
|
|
</div>

|
