<div class="SSN_level2">B. Sin has a way of compounding.</div>

<div class="SSN_level2">B. God sent Nathan the prophet to David.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">1. Nathan spoke a parable to David.</div>
|

<div class="SSN_level3">2. David became very angry with the man and pronounced judgment.</div>

<div class="SSN_level2">C. Nathan said "Thou art that man."</div>
|

<div class="SSN_level3">1. It's amazing how awful our sins look to us when someone else is committing them.</div>

<div class="SSN_rnum">III. THE TRAGIC CONSEQUENCES OF SIN.</div>

<div class="SSN_level2">A. It gave an occasion for the enemies of God to blaspheme.</div>

<div class="SSN_level3">1. You are the salt of the earth.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">a. Sin is a sore.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">b. You know what salt does to an open wound - stings.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">2. The world thus loves to see a Christian fall.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">B. The child was to die.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">C. David's own wives to be publicly humiliated.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">D. The sword was not to depart from his house.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_rnum">IV. THE ONLY THING TO DO WITH SIN.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">A. Confess it, "And David said, "I have sinned against the Lord.""</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">1. Trying to cover your sin will only get you in deeper.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">2. Confess unto God your sin.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">B. Nathan answered "The Lord hath put away thy sin."</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">1. It was on this occasion he wrote <a onClick="return mV('Psa',32,'all');">PS. 32</a>.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">2. "If we confess our sin, He is faithful..."</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_notes">None of us are immune from sin. Do not seek to excuse it or cover it. Confess it to the Lord and let Him take it away. Know the joy and blessedness of sins forgiven.</div>
