|

<div class="SSN_rnum">I. LIFE IS FILLED WITH CARES.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">A. Paul spoke of the cares of the ministry.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">1. He said that on his many travels he was faced with the perils of waters, in perils from robbers, in perils from his own countrymen, in peril from the heathen, in the perils of the city in the perils of the wilderness, in the perils of the sea, and in perils among false brethren. He was often weary and in pain. Many times he was hungry and thirsty, he was in freezing conditions without sufficient clothing. Added to all of this was the daily care of all of the churches.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">2. No matter what your lot in life, it brings its share of care.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">a. I think of the cares that you housewives and mothers have. </div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level5">1. The managing of the household. </div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level5">2. Getting the kids off to school on time. </div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level5">3. Having all of the meals ready. </div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level5">4. Keeping the clothes clean. </div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level5">5. The care for the safety of your children. </div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level5">6. A lady in our church in Corona said to Kay when we had three little ones under five. "Now they are hand care, there will come a day when they will be heart care."</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">b. The cares of the husband. </div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level5">1. The pressures of the job. </div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level5">2. The pressures of all of the bills. </div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level5">3. The care of providing for the needs of the family.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">c. These cares are often compounded in the life of the single parent, as they have to take the roll of mother and father.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">B. Many people find that the cares become more than they are able to bear.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">1. Some try to escape the cares by running from them.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">a. This surely is not God's way.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">b. This kind of irresponsibility only makes the problem much greater for those who are left.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">c. It has to be the height of self-centeredness and the cowardly way out.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">2. Many people try to dump their cares on others.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">a. They seek to place the burdens that they are not willing to bear on others.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">b. They make a total mess out of their life by their stubborn rebellion against authority, then they want to dump that mess on someone else to take the responsibility of getting them out.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">c. Jesus spoke of the scribes and Pharisee's who bound up burdens too heavy to carry and then put them on the backs of others, but would not as much as move their little finger to carry the load.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">C. Somehow I feel that God never intended man to live under such pressures as we face in our modern society.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">1. It seems that we live in a pressure cooker.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">a. The pressure of driving to work.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">b. The pressure that we face at work.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">c. The pressure of the freeway driving home from work.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">d. The pressures of the family when we get home.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">2. I sometime question if society is advancing or retrogressing.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">3. We work hard and under great pressure for fifty weeks out of the year so that we can load the trailer up and go camping for two weeks.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">a. We look forward to a relaxing time just fishing and then cooking the catch over an open fire.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">b. To sit around the campfire at night and look up at the star filled sky and think of the glories of God.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">c. We say that this is real living, it was worth the fifty weeks of labor.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">3. The primitive man spent his whole life just hunting and fishing and cooking his meals over the open fire, and we feel sorry for him.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">4. It is interesting that he never seemed to need a psychiatrist.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_rnum">II. WHAT WE ARE TO DO WITH OUR CARES. "CASTING ALL OF YOUR CARES UPON HIM."</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">A. Hannah the mother of Samuel had great cares.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">1. In that culture, she shared her husband with another woman.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">2. She suffered under a cultural curse of not being able to bear a child.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">3. The other wife who was jealous of their husbands obvious preference for Hannah was able to bear many children and would taunt Hannah over her barrenness.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">4. The heavy care was more than she could bare, and she found herself often weeping and unable to eat.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">5. If finally brought a rift between her husband and her, for one day as they were travelling together he asked her why she was weeping and was not eating.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">6. He could not understand her deep longing for a child, like a typical husband he thought, "She has me, what more could she want?"</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">7. We read that as they were in Shiloh worshipping the Lord she was in bitterness of soul and weeping as she was praying. Her grief was so deep that she could not audibly utter her prayer but her lips were moving but no sounds were coming out.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">8. As the High Priest Eli passed by and saw her in this condition, he thought she was drunk and said, "How long are you going to be drunk, get rid of your wine."</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">9. She answered the High Priest, "I am not drunk, I am a woman with a sorrowful heart, and I have poured out my soul unto the Lord."</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">10. She had cast her care upon the Lord.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">11. Note that when she cast her care upon her husband, he did not understand her, and it brought sort of a rift.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">12. When she cast them upon the Lord she received the assurance that God would grant her petition, and she ate and began to rejoice.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">B. How many of our cares are we to cast on Him?</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_rnum">III. HE CARETH FOR YOU.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">A. Have you ever felt that no one really understood you, or really cared?</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">1. Have you ever felt all alone in your sorrow?</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">2. It is interesting how that Satan begins to play his games in our minds.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">a. He seeks to make us feel that no one has ever suffered as much as we.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">b. That we are all alone, in our fight for righteousness.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">c. Like Elijah we often feel that I only I am left, and they are seeking my life.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">B. What a comforting thought, "He careth for me."</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">1. Though all may fail and forsake me, He has promised never to leave me or forsake Me.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">2. How this thought encourages me.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">C. He cares for you more than you can ever realize.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">1. Through Jeremiah the prophet, God spoke to the captives in Babylon who felt that they had been deserted by God. For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">Verse 12: Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">Verse 13: You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. <a onClick="return mV('Jer',29,11);">Jer. 29:11</a> NIV</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">D. How do we know that He really cares for us?</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">1. Jesus was constantly telling the disciples of the Father's care for them. He told them that they did not have to worry about things.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">a. Their Father sees that the birds are fed.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">b. He sees that the fields are robed in beautiful colors.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">c. If He sees to the birds needs, how much more will He see to the needs of His children.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">d. Their Father knows they have need of these things.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">e. We sing, "He knows my name, He knows my every thought, He sees each tear that falls, and He hears me when I call."</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level3">2. If Satan should ever cause you to question or doubt the care that God has for you, just look at the cross.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">a. There God showed you just how much He cares.</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level4">b. Paul said, "If God spared not His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how much more shall He not freely give us all things?"</div>
|
|
<div class="SSN_level2">E. You who came to church today feeling under pressure and strain because of the things you experienced this past week, and for the things that you will be facing tomorrow. "Cast all of your cares upon Him, for He careth for you."</div>
