58. CHRIST BEFORE THE BELIEVER

1. As the Object of faith. "Looking unto Jesus the Author and Finisher of our faith" (Hbr 12:2).

2. As the Light, to direct. "He that followeth Me shall not walk in darkness" (Jhn 8:12).

3. As the Lord, to obey. "If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another's feet" (Jhn 13:14)

4. As the Shepherd, to follow. "My sheep hear My voice and I know them and they follow Me" (Jhn 10:27).

5. As the Master, to serve. "Ye call Me Master and Lord: and ye say well; for so I am" (Jhn 13:13).

6. As the Prize, to win. "For whom I have suffered the loss of all things,…that I may win Christ" (Phl 3:8-14).

7. As the Goal, to reach. "Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain" (1Cr 9:24).
